Machette has added a bit of street cred to the otherwise prim Victoria Park Village. It is quite a small place and simply decorated, but the atmosphere is great and the food and drinks authentic and tasty. The chef is a Mexican chap and he certainly knows what he is doing when it comes to the dishes we tried - ceviche, mushroom tacos and pork carnitas tacos were all delicious. They have a great range of cocktails and mocktails and it's pretty good value for money, with great care taken in the preparation of the food and drinks. Sit at the bar and have some guacamole and tortilla chips with an ice-cold beer. Yum!
