Mostly inedible steaks - a few seemed to have been cooked from frozen and not rested and incredibly dry!
Soil found in watercress salad
Front of house was apologetic and polite and took those off the bill and provided free drinks which partially compensated for the disappointing evening.

Took advantage of a 50% offer and have mixed feelings. The ambience was good and expectations were high, but one of the steaks was mostly inedible and the chips were a disgrace. Old oil I suspect. I'm no expert on what goes on in restaurant kitchens but know when the output is not as it should be.
To be fair, the manager took the poor steak off the bill, said he wouldn't serve any more of that particular menu choice and offered free drinks but I would rather they got it right first time.
Due to a lack of colloquial English our server came across as abrupt but at least she alerted the manager to our problem.
This is not the most convenient location and our experience would make me doubtful about a return visit.
