On the 9th December 2011 my son treated me to a birthday meal with my husband, it was delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. if you want a nice friendly place to eat, with delicious food, I thoroughly recommend it.

Five of us dined at Ffiona's on Saturday evening. It was a celebratory meal and we really enjoyed the ambience of the place. The food is well cooked and wholesome. I will definitely return as I want to try their brunch.

I agree with one of the other reviews it is not child friendly far too small for that. Children would destroy the feel of the place and seriously disturb the other diners. in fact if I knew children were there I wouldn't go back.

I thoroughly recommend brunch at Ffiona's on Kensington Church Street. We started our Saturday shopping trip there and got into a thoroughly relaxed mood with bacon, eggs and waffles. The owner was very accommodating and offered us a free bloody mary. A good and generous start to the weekend.

I rarely provide reviews, but after seeing the negative comments about ffionas, and the hostess, I am compelled to respond. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the world, and a must stop when in London, whether traveling for business or pleasure. The excellent, well presented food, comes with the memorable presence an entertainingly eccentric hostess, creating the sense that one is dining in the household of an accomplished, strong willed, slightly off kilter, aunt, affectionant but not one to suffer fools. I have not a single disappointment in a dozen or more meals at Ffionas, with parties of from 2 to 8, all leading to the satisfied pleasure of an evening well spent.

There are cautions for those who prefer to sit quietly in a corner and be left well alone. I also would think twice about taking very young children. The place is just too small and the hostess too concerned about maintaining an ambiance for all of her patrons to risk the inevitable noiseness of kids. I don't mind young children when dining out, but ffiona's is making a go with a very small capacity, and maintaining the ambiance to keep her loyal patrons returning is essential for survival, an ambiance that is lost with young children, grown cranky with waiting or having to put up with sitting too long in a big person's settings.

Really lovely brunch at Ffiona's this weekend. We had bacon and eggs and waffles. Everything was delicious and Ffiona and her team were very accommodating to our large group. We were very pleased to get a free cocktail although I think this is only available on Saturdays.

Had a lovely brunch at Ffiona's on Saturday. Bacon and eggs in a relaxed setting with a couple of good cappucinos. The kids were welcomed too, although it was mid afternoon and not the evening, I guess. Service was very attentive.

Ffiona's rudeness is unbearable.

Before booking we asked if it was a baby friendly restaurant and she personally said yes, but then we had our baby crying and she told us we were disturbing the other clients. Lord only knows why, her rudeness is truly insufferable.

The food was not great, it was overcooked and she put us squeezed on a table shared with other unknown people.

Sad experience!

Had a really nice meal at ffiona's last night. The food is simple and tastes like homecooked food. I had the chicken kiev which was excellent. I've just read the previous review and was sorry to see that someone else had a bad experience. I've eaten at ffiona's several times, and whilst the owner is not your typical subservient waitress, she's full of fun and personality and can be very witty too.

This is a truly awful awful place. Rubbish food, appalling service and non-existent ambience. The owner (Ffiona?) was amazingly rude and that just ruined our evening. Will never ever be back and whole-heartedly advise others to avoid that place at any cost.

I had a great brunch at Ffiona's last weekend. We didn't know that this popular local restaurant had started serving brunch until we walked past the restaurant and saw a sign in the window. Ffiona was her usual welcoming self and we took up a cosy corner before enjoying bacon and eggs and eggs benedict, followed by American pancakes. The coffee was excellent and Ffiona persuaded me to try the bloody marys which were really good. Well done Ffiona. I'll be coming back very soon.
