Visited Ferrari's 17-12-11, pork vastly over cooked, partners lamb cold, daughters never finished her pasta but did not comment, sister no comment.
I've been fed in the best all over the world and I was not expecting too much but
regard that poor, I wish I stayed at home. (I doubt this will be shown).

My girlfriend and I went to Ferraris last night for my Birthday. We had been to Ferraris on many occasion before and always have had a positive experience, last night however was a different story.
We ordered our drinks however they were initially forgotten about and we then had to order them again when another waitress came to our table to take our food order. The staters were very tasty and came to the table within a reasonable time.
My main however was a disaster. I ordered the 10oz steak and specifically stated "Medium". When the steak came out the edges were cooked to "Medium" however the rest of it on the inside was completely blood red rare and it looked like it had hardly been cooked. I asked the waiter to take it back, and he returned it about 5 minutes later.. this time it was much smaller and this time they had cooked it through to well-done. It tasted like rubber.
In the end I left it, but when the same waiter took our plates he did not even acknowledge that I had not eaten the bouncy steak or enquire if it was ok and why I had not eaten it. My girlfriend's main was fine and I wish I had had that instead (Roast pork belly).
To be fair to Ferrari's they did offer us complimentary desserts (which we did not feel like eating because by this time the evening was ruined). They took £5 off the bill yet still left the supposedly optional tip on the bill. We asked for it to be removed and left what we felt was appropriate.
Overall a dissapointing night, I will not be in a rush to go back their again (if at all).

Had heard good things about Ferraris and decided to treat a friend visiting from Sheffield in the hope that it would be a memorable experence - WRONG!!!
We booked a table for 7.45 last night (Sunday) and encouraged by the fact that it was so busy and yet w had good, frendly service. My friend ordered the scallops which she loved (around £9 for 3) and I had the stuffed mushrooms which were bland and uninteresting. The lamb shank followed for my friend which was exactly the same as similar 'microwave in the bag' versions that are available at a price of around two for £5 in most supermarkets and described as bland. My choice was the seafood risotto which was an absolute mess, Overcooked to the extent that the shells couldn't be removed from the prawns as they were complete mush - I cannot tell you how bad this choice was - I actually left two thirds of it - the waitress commented 'too much for you' and I said it was so overcooked leaving it inedible - no visible facial expression or acknowledgement. I intended to complain to the Manager but some kind of emergency in the kitchen overshadowed the proceedings so I am venting my frustration via this review. By 9.30 we were the only remaining diners and staff were naturally keen to get us out of the door so we gratefully left.
I had planned this to be a special evening but what a terrible disappointment - Ferraris will not be on my 'return to dine list'.....

I am sad to say that our visit to Ferrari's on 3rd October was not the nice birthday treat that was intended for our very pregnant daughter, accompanied by her partner and our son.
We arrived at 6pm and were quickly seated by the window. The young waiter took ages to present us with our drinks especially my wine which he had forgotten.
My son ordered the duck but was not informed that he needed to order side dishes. When his plate arrived there was barely enough for a 3 year old let alone a 28 year old man. He later went home for a meal.
The waiter frequently attended to a couple who were ordering champagne, wine etc and totally forgot our table. We were not asked if everything was alright until we had finished our meal and by then we had given up trying to get side orders for our son and another round of drinks.
We spoke with the manager who took the service charge of the bill (I thought this was voluntary anyway).
We will definately not be going back there.

My family and I visited Ferraris tonight 21st Dec (our daughter's 21st). We have visited Ferraris on numerous occasions and have always had superb food. As for the service I am bitterly disappointed, I rang to book the evening and mentioned it was my daughter's 21st and rang again a week before to reiterate it was a 21st celebration. The service was slow - we had to keep looking for the waiter, the restaurant was only half full because of the snow. Not once did anyone mention a birthday of any sort, as we were escorted out I asked the maitre'd if they had a birthday policy - he replied that we should have reminded them - I think ringing them twice is enough!!!

My wife and I have enjoyed Ferrari's in Bexley on two occasions and we are about to embark on our third visit. Each time the service has been friendly and unobtrusive, the food sublime. For a relaxed special meal in a pleasant place - this is about as good as it gets.

We went there on sunday 16/09/2009 for the first time. What a wonderful meal. Everything was cooked to perfection, tender and extremely tasty. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recomment this restaurant and i will certainly be returning, many times i hope.

If you want to eat somewhere with celebrity wannabes shouting as loud as they can and children screaming and running around - then this was the place to dine, as this is what my husband and I got when we went to Ferrari's on Sunday at 8pm for a quiet celebratory meal. Ferrari's had come highly recommended and the food was indeed excellent, scallops to start, and the lamb shank for main were delicious. But the staff were unable to deal with a group of rowdy customers to the detriment of the many other diners. We asked to move tables and we also voiced our complaint to the management at the end of the evening. The meal cost £80: for two courses each and shared dessert, half a bottle of wine and coffee. Final word: disappointing.
