Oh dear, its getting worse and worse at this place, had dinner there the food was very average, I would rather eat at Strada.

If you want to experience a meal at Medcalf without actually going there just dim the lights, open a window, make yourself a Pot Noodle and watch the original Star Wars film. Picture the scene where Luke, Han Solo et al. leap into the garbage shute after rescuing Princess Leia, and are subsequently facing a messy death when the walls close in to crush them - that is a Medcalf dining experience.

It appears that a roof has been placed over a small alleyway between two buildings and turned into a resturant so that there is just enough room for one table. Add to this a Siberian wind whistling down the length of this confined space, plus staff and other diners continually walking by your table, and you have a most un-relaxed meal.

However, the food was very nice.
