I have no words to describe how I DISLIKED this place. I went with my dad who came to Italy because we would have liked to have a nice Italian dinner in the centre. We had had a look at the website and menu online and thought it looked a nice restaurant. We could have not been more wrong than that. Food was terrible. I had a cordon bleu shaped like an enormous ball and heavy like hell. My dad had ravioli with bolognese sauce which were overcooked. The house wine was impossible to drink. We asked for desserts and they were cold, heavy and obviously not home-made.
For what concerns the staff, they were not nice at all, kept asking questions about the order which they could not remember, but the most annoying thing is that the restaurant was almost empty so they (3 waiters) spent the evening standing next to our table and WATCHING US EATING, which I think is the most distressing thing that a waiter can do to a client.
Overall it was also quite pricy and definitely not worth it. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone - save your money and eat home, I am sure the food will be higher quality.

we had dinner at this restaurant last saturday nigh after watching a show in the west end. we arrived at 9.30pm and were greeted by smiling manager and very friendly staff. our food was tasty and delicious and served in good time even though the restaurant was full. the atmosphere was buzzing and vibrant with italian music . service was good and efficient, so all seven of us were happy to leave a good tip plus the service charge. we all agreed that we were right in choosing this restaurant for our late meal.

We had booked a pre-theatre meal at The Piccadilly for 3 people. When we arrived 10 minutes early we were told to go away again until the time. On returning they looked in horror as we said we had a booking. Eventually, they made a small table for 2 into a table for 3 (not that you could have fitted 3 plates and 3 drinks. Also the 3rd chair blocked 3 other tables and we would have had to move everytime they wanted to serve the other tables!. We said that it was not acceptable and they said 'well we are busy'! We had limited time as we were going to theatre and so left.

We ate at Piccadilly Italian restaurant as a party of 6 on Saturday evening 26th Nov 2011. I suspect this restaurant doesn't rely on return custom, but manages to survive because of it's very central location by Soho and the theatre district. We will NEVER eat there again! Here's why:
- The food was not of good quality or flavour.
- incredibly overpriced! e.g. £11 for a vegetarian lasagne (same price as for meat!), £20-£25 for a steak & chips, £3.95 for the smallest glass of Budweiser beer ever (certainly no bigger than a half-pint glass). In fact everything on the menu was overpriced! With only no starters, 2 side dishes, 2 people drinking and 2 having dessert, the bill still came to over £30 per head.
- On top of this they add 12.5% service charge to every bill (the table next to us refused to pay as the service had been very poor).
- We asked if the veg lasagne contained mushrooms and said we were asking because my wife is allergic to them, waiter said, 'no'. Half way through eating it, noticed many large pieces of mushroom! They changed her meal but didn't really apologise and still charged us for it! (BTW vegetarian lasagne is not tasty either and had very little pasta in it, seemed to be mainly soya mince with cheese on top).
- Poor service generally
- one of the coffees ordered didn't arrive, we had no way of telling if we had been charged for it or not as the bill was not properly itemised.
- cramped, dark and unattractive interior
- dirty toilets
Other than that, we had a lovely evening with our friends! LOL! I don't think any of us will make a return visit.

we had lunch at this restaurant today, our group of six person enjoyed every bit of their meals. the decor is old but charming, background music was soothing and not too loud. the waiters were very nice and friendly and went out of their way to please us. wines are slightly over priced but they have good selection. nice restaurant over all and we will consider coming back.

The service was really poor - my husband asked for a gin and tonic and they appeared to have to go out and purcase the tonic! Meanwhile, we had ordered our drinks but we had to wait until the tonic arrived to get them! We ordered our food but it took nearly half an hour to come - we found out subsequently this was because one of our party ordered something which took 25 minutes to cook. but the staff failed to communicate this to us! The food came and it was good although I had to send mine back as it was cold ! Coffee seemed to take ages to arrive and when the bill came they had automatically added on a service charge - left to our own discretion we would never have tipped the staff as the service was very bad. What's more, although the food was good it was very expensive. Bottom line - Food good but expensive - service awful.

Totally dissatisfied. Mains meal at £15 didn't even come with vegetables, and alone it wasn't a big enough portion to feed a budgie. We were asked if we'd like some bread with the meal as if it were complementary. Unfortunately the bill showed us that the bread was £6 and the butter was £2. Vegetables were an optional extra to the meal at roughly £2 a portion (ie., sauteed pots alone were £2). Paying £6 for a couple of scoops of ice cream can only be an option for those who have no mortgate or kids, or for those who are unable to eat solids.
Woefully overpriced menu, none of us will ever step into that restaurant again. The waiters were very accommodating, but they would be considering they made £145 out of 3 people.
I gave the waiters a tip but, unfortunately, I cannot print that here!
