La Casa Del Habano

very nice place. went there quite a few times when in london last summer (2006) but too bad now there's no way to sit and smoke there.

i called them up and they said that i could come and 'sample cigars' only meaning i could not sit down and 'dine' or 'drink' with a cigar. not sure what that means exactly? when was the last time you 'sampled' cigars before you bought them?

i have to explore this further.

Well its that time of year again...my birthday, and my first port of call as it has been since it opened, will be Casa. I was sad to see the negative review as Casa is a rare little Gem amidst the slightly seedy area known as Soho.

This is a venue with style, a constantly chilled vibe and the smell of the finest Cuban Cigars and now a tapas selection to make your mouth water if you were fool enough not to order! The staff are freindly and know you by name once you're a regular, did I say they also mix the best cocktails, costly, perhaps, but no higher than other Central London prices.

As soon as I walk in a feel like, yes, I have found my little slice of Cuba, with music to rival the soundtrack to the Motorcylce Diaries and Mojitos with only the best Havana rum i know i can sit back, relax, smoke my cigar - why not have it hand rolled by the lady in the corner- not on her thighs however, but still authentic, in fact on my last b-day they rolled a overly long one for me-Monica lewinsky??-I hope not!(as a lady its still looked upon as a novelty by pasersbys, but not inside-you may smoke to your hearts content not disturbing a soul)and enjoy the night with freinds, so Ill be doing that this weekend....where will you be?

I have had quite the opposite experience of Casa....absolutely brilliant place and i would recommend it to any cigar lover.Drinks are great and definitely not expensive and the service is always extremely good.No body has ever been rude to me there especially the manager and the whole staff are very friendly and very good at their job!!!
