Really good food at fantastic prices. Basic decor, not at all pretentious, very authentic and the staff are very sweet. Great for casual dinners or small after work get togethers.

My husband and I went there after going to see Les Mis Nov 24 at about 10.30pm, we had a great time. The food was lovely and we had a gorgeous bottle of wine. It is not posh and pretentious and does not even try to be. It is just a little gem. You do not have to spend a fortune every time you for a meal to have a good meal. I would go again if I was in town.

Rude service, wobbly tables, poor, poor food and expensive to boot. The tomato sauce on one dish starter dish looked and tasted like some nasty industrial glutenous gloop. The spaghetti bolognese was obviously loaded with salt. All this and they charge over the top for it, even for measly bread and slap 10% on top for the terrible service. This venue should really get it's act together, I've worked nearby for 2 years and I wouldn't touch it any more.

This is not a rant, it's just that there are so so so many other places nearby that are much much better and for less.

Horrible food, served by rude staff you rip you off with a compulsory £10 menu.

Yeasterday evening I went to Da Aldo with my brother and a few his friends for his birthday. I ate spaghetti , chiken escalope and potatoes , salad and a delicious chocolate cake to finish. The food was really good and we drank a good red wine. The service was very quick and efficient and the staff were kind and friendly. It was crowded but the atmosphere was confortable. The prices are reasonable and the value for money is good.

The restaurant isn't large and trendy but the food is very good and really Italian so I think I will return.

This place is winner. From the first moment you step inside, you leave England behind. All the waiters are so Italian. Their waiting service can be a little unattentive and nonchalant but really it just adds to the whole atmosphere. The food is excellent - authentic, honest and amazing value. At £10 for three courses, how can anyone complain?

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 - I have to talk about the interior. Its got really retro, old wood that look like they’ve been up since the 70’s, and one of the things you’ll notice is the cramped space, appropriately cosy...
