A very poor experience. The food was very ordinary, especially the pasta. The service was dreadful - they were clearly trying to rush us through our meal. Within 40 minutes of sitting down, we were offered the dessert menu, and the waiters seems surprised that we wanted them to slow down. We were not shown the specials, which only seemed to be shown to tables of four or above. The manager, who clearly knew we we unhappy, as upon paying our bill we asked for the service charge to be removed, didn't even bother to ask what the problem was. We will never visit this restaurant again.

Rubbish meal. starter - mushrooms - very tough and almost inedible ( left most of them)

main - fish kebab - fish over cooked and dry. seasonal veg which turned out to be fried potatoes and fried mushrooms (left over from the starter?) and a few green beans

at least the pudding was just about ok.

don't go there as is not cheap and there are much better alternatives in the area

Visited this restaurant for the second time today, both times have been for lunch. The food was excellent and the service was quite good. Yes, it is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for in this world. The Fish dishes are highly reccommended. The house red was very pleasant and the cheese plate more than enough. I look forward to my next visit.

the worst meal I have ever had the misfortune to pay for...and quite some bill it was. Three people dining, three courses each, not one positive comment, quite the opposite in fact. Vile steak, vile duck, thick gloops of the same gravy on each dish, and battered corgette...need I go on!? No.

What a great restaurant. The service is always good, the menu is excellent, the food is cooked to perfection and the atmosphere is great. I particularly like the way the bring the uncooked food to your table so you can see the fish, meet and see food before being taken away to be cooked. They are also very good at cooking things in a slightly different way to meet the foibles of fussy customers!! With so many poor chain restaurants it is good to go to an independent of this quality.

The food is good, and generally reliable. It is one of the two smarter restaurants in Wimbledon Village, which is generally populated by chain restaurants. The atmosphere of the dining room is pleasant. However, I am sorry to say that since the previous manager left some years ago, the service has become quite impersonal. I believe the problem lies with the current manager, who used to be a waiter here. He used to be perfectly OK as a waiter, but as a manager, has become decidedly unpleasant, charmless and rude. I consider myself to be a fairly loyal customer and for the first time after many years and countless meals at this restaurant, I found my main course dish to be tough and below standard. I politely informed the manager of the problem. He proceeded to argue, contradict me and then test the meat with my knife and try to cut it in front of me, in view of my dining companions who were left speechless by this spectacle. Finally, my main course was replaced. Then to make matters worse, discovered on paying the bill that the offending dish had not been deducted. Open querying this, the manager once more began to argue that there had been nothing wrong with it and so we should pay for it, plus the replacement dish! Needless to say, I refused and am left feeling disgusted by this shameful experience.

Lydon was a fantastic experience. Not only was the atmosphere relaxed and pleasant, but the food was to die for. Great fish menu's, fresh and cooked to perfection. This is definetly worth the money you pay for. I recommend a tete a tete with a partner or a special occasion. Something wonderful to look forward to. Formidable et Bravo!

This is my favourite restaurant in Wimbldeon. It is a little bit expensive but the all of the food is beautifully cooked and the service is very good too. The fillet steak is a particular favourite. High recommended
