I was totally disappointed as the local paper raved about this Restaurant. Although the place was full there seemed little space inbetween tables, and the waiters would bump into you, and at one stage the woman sitting opposite me had caught my poppadoms on her jumper as she squeezed past the table to get her seat after going to the buffet bar, I managed to grab the food just in time to save any embarassement.

The place was busy, mainly young people, as there is a couple of wine bars across the road directly opposite, I would imagine this is why it is so busy.

The food was mainly buffet food, and this seemed more popular, most or all I see was eating from the buffet.

The curries all tasted the same, very hot and peppery, not at all spicy, the milder curry very bland. The chicken wasnt the usual moist chunks, but thick and dry, strange shapes with a rough texture.

I one of the currys I had tried was a recommendation from the Restaurant, the waiter could see I was disappointed and approached me, he took away the curry came back with another that I was familiar with from, a milder curry, oh it was just awful.

Three currys in all I had tasted from this restaurant and they were all a great disappointment, I didnt eat them only the poppadums with the chutneys were bearable. I had a cheese sandwich when I went home.

I can not agree with the other reviews for Chutneys on this site. It certainly surprises me.

We visited the other evening and were disappointed. The vegetarian thali was bland and all dishes tasted the same. My friend's lemon rice was just greasy. The food most definintely was not mouth watering. We should know as we visit indian restaurants on a regular basis.

Service was just weird. With scenarios such as one waiter collecting money watched by two others whilst they ignored signals from other customers for service. They seemed to do everything in twos and threes.

Chutneys have shown exceptional customer service. The food is great especially with their new menu consisting of a wide variety of dishes. You really will be spoilt for choice! So if you ever want to move away from your typical curry dishes this is the place to try some new things.

an experience to remember. firstly the food is great! but what makes chutneys stand out from all the other curry houses is the service! The two brothers running the business make all the customers feel at home. They seem to know most of their clients on a first name basis which shows how often people must frequent the place.

definately in my top 3 curry houses!

Fantastic Restaurant in the heart of Wimbledon.

It is listed as an Italian Restaurant but is infact an Indian Restaurant.

Fantastic food and the choice in the menu is vast. Best to let them recommend as they know what they are doing.

Service is exceptional as always and a very friendly bunch of staff. They seemed to know every one there on a first name basis which shows how often people frequent the restaurant.

Will definately recommend this Gem in London.
