cheap, service fine when we went. Very big portions of generic, old-fashioned, curry-house curry. Dull, old, spices and slathered in cream and ghee. We were not surprised to see the waiting staff greeting several overweight regulars... Just remember - just because they're Indian, doesn't mean they can cook!

I went to this restaurant last night with my colleagues as I have many times before. I was disgusted at the behaviour of the waiters who were slipping in rude comments in Bengali when they were speaking to customers as well as my female colleague. They were laughing about it because they thought that we didn't understand. I confronted the waiter who was a middle aged man. I am absolutely disgusted by the behaviour and feel ashamed that a well established restaurent would hire staff who have no idea how to behave. The management needs to teach their staff some basic manners as these English customers pay their wages. No one from my comany will ever eat their again.

I came to eat here last week. I was amazed how busy this restaurant was. The Staff were very friendly, well mannered, well dressed and greeted me and made me feel welcome, like I was eating with family.

I ordered my curry and starters, I was amazed at the speed and quality of the service. I ordered a chicken curry. It was piping hot and the taste was divine.

I had to loosen my belt upon leaving the food was that good. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I was even surprised at the bill, I thought it would be alot more, it was even better being topped off with after eights

Chutneys tends to get busy on evenings and I do not venture for Indian 'lunches'. That is a place for a proper evening dining when the waiters are swarming to serve customers. And their packed because this Curryhouse serves not oridinary indian mash, but a proper flavourfull Curry! Their have v a s t menu, and the menu which differs! It's one of the best and I think it has a Bangladeshi as well as the South Indian.

Service is impeccable. I don't know what to say about the previous review but thats sounds like not the place or perhaps somebody has had a bad day. It does not matter, their serve an unique blend of food, out of the ordinary. Prices are moderate, and portions generous, highly recomennded.
