What a super place food was out of this world
The menu has so much choice for every one
One more thing you have to see the coffee cups and try the pie

Consistantly excellent! The Empress is the best curry house in the area - a real tribute when you consider they are competeing with then likes of Cafe Spice Namaste and the whole of the Brick Lane eateries. The food is always excellent and the service impeccable. The newly reovated resturant completes the experience.

A work christmas meal with a difference. Being able to order off the full menu rather than a special set one is good for a start! The food and service was excellent as always - they coped well with the larger than usual numbers. Highly recommend the North Indian Garlic Chilli lamb for those of you who like it hot. The curried fish was excellent too - and the lamb shank looked divine, though I didn't get a chance to try that as there were no left-overs from the folks opposite me who had that.

The empress serves up some of the best indian food i've had. The service is excellent but it's the food that is the real treat.

This has to be the most consistently good, and reasonably priced Indian in the area - which is saying a lot with the immense amount of competition. You can eat cheaper elsewhere, but it won't be as good.

it has been a year now , once a week, and the food and hospitality has not changed at all. Corection the hospitality is now even better (they are friends).
Try the jingra prawn to start and go for the lamb shank. But ask them to let you taste (you will not beleive this) the shepherds pie.

This restaurant is unique, the food and service is excellent. We have had numerous of meals in here and have never been dissatisfied. The staff and management are extremelly friendly and each time we visit we are treated with the greatest respect but with the personal touch. On occassion we have visited they have cooked something special for us.There is a good choice of wine aswell. Our bill has always been within an expected price to pay for this service and food. A must to add to your Indian Restaurant list to visit.
