Balti House

A traditional restaurant where you're treated to a warm welcome. Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating to individual requests. Classical music is played in the background rather than the predictable Bollywood-style tunes and this was a refreshing change.
All the food that came to our table was attractively presented and looked/smelled absolutely delicious.
My curry was too hot for my conservative taste (probably my fault as I didn't ask for a mild version), but the waiter immediately offered to make me another and was keen to see that I enjoyed my meal.
Definitely a step up from the usual Indian restaurant, which means I'll be going again.

The Balti House had a very good theme with running, smooth Indian music and very traditional pieces of art on the walls.
The food was presented well, I ordered a "Chicken Tikka Masala" great tender, juicy chicken the only minor: it was a bit spicy. The cost was low, I was amazed by the bill, yet the food was top quality.
The music allowed me to eat in peace and there was great aromatic smells from the food. The food tasted very fresh and traditional, all in all a very good night.
I believe this is a great restaurant located in Battersea.
