Basilico (Clapham)

Terrible service. Waited for over 1hr 30mins for the delivery of the pizza after ringing half an hour before and being told it would be here within the next 5 minutes. When it arrived it was luke warm and no good will reduction was given. Plus, the crust were burned. Shall not be ordering from here again!!

I order from Basilico at least 3 times a month and have done for years. I have never yet been dissapointed with an order. The staff are always welcoming on the phone and are very friendly. People may say it is over priced but you pay for good quilty and that is certainly what you get here. I strongly advice people to try Basilico as i feel once you have you will never stop.

Better then average food let down by a fundamentally poor service. The competition is better, quicker and provides far greater value for money. Never mind I suppose just another victim to the credit crunch.

I tried it a few times mostly for logistic reasons but I don't like it much.

It's all right but saying that it's authentique like I read in some reviews is quite wrong. Italian pizza is well different... Most of the ingredients are not the right ones and the recipes are not Italian.

The delivery is very fast though, the pizza is always hot. The rest is average to bad....the tiramisu I tried once was pretty bad. The salads too are disappointing.

The pizzas from here are absolutely outstanding - easily restaurant quality, and I mean a proper italian restaurant not a chain pizza place.

Proper wood-fired oven, and you can taste it! They'll make you anything you want, and delivery is super fast. There's a lot of choice for gourmet delivery food around here, and basilico beats it all hands down - it's far far superior to firezza, for example, in taste, service and price. They're always cheery on the phone, too!
