I have lived in Lavender Hill for over ten years and remember Firezza when it first opened. It was brilliant with really friendly Italian and Romanian staff who knew what they were doing and always had some chat.

Tonight was the second time that I have been there since the refurbishment and new ownership. The first time was shocking and I only went back tonight as I used to think so highly of it. The people who have taken it over are the most miserable, least friendly or customer service orientated that I have ever encountered. They seem to think that they are running a cash and carry or something.

We waited for five minutes and then had to ask them if we could order. They did not even leave the counter and we had to shout our order over.

The woman who works there looked as though she had been sucking lemons for the preceding hour and no one said a please, thank you or can I help you.

The pizzas used to be excellent and now they are as bland and predictable as and X Factor single.

New owners: please go back into whatever field you were previously employed in as you don't seem to be enjoying your new vocation and the residents of Lavender Hill have certainly had enough of you and we miss our local pizzeria.

First time I ordered it was very yummy, second time, revolting, my basil tasted like cleaning products (and not the eco ones!) and I involuntarily regurgitated my final bite due to some unpleasant unwelcome taste. Shame, I hate leaving hardcore reviews but seriously, this place is a wrong'un.

the pizzas from this place are definetly bland as people have commented on. such a shame that they provide this fresh base and proper baking methods only to use toppings with no real flavour. Last time we ordered from them the pizza base was very close to burnt. Had sort of a few black spots on the bottem with gave it that bitter charcol flavour. The tomato sauce and cheese had no flavour. The pizzas are extremely dry and lacking flavour. not good to be honest, will avoid.(service was fine)

I have ordered with Firezza about a week ago, on Lavender hill and I must say the service in that place has improved. I stoped ordering with Firezza about 7 months ago and decided to stop after a dissapointed service and food. I am very happy i ordered again. Never did i think a pizza shop would be so polite and professional. My pizza arrived at the stated time and it was delicious.

just had a pizza from Firezza and it is very disappointing - particularly for the price! £35 for take out pizza. We should have realised from the limited menu - not even artichokes or anchovies. Really wouldn't recommend this place at all. Poor quality ingredients and stodgy base - oh and who wants free bread with a pizza?

Ordered to collect 1/2 vegetali 1/2 diavolo only to be very disappointed once arriving home pizza base was burned black with little pepperoni and too many chillies, soggy small pieces of aubergine and courgettes with far too much onion.

Never again, this small chain of takeout pizza used to be the best but not any more, with doughy bases and poor ingredients all at £17+ per take out pizza is shocking!

I ordered from Firezza a couple years ago and found that it was like chewing on soggy cardboard with very little seasoning. Having craved for some 'naughty' food and being too lazy to cook, I ordered again. Surely it must have improved! NO! It was possibly worse than how I remember it being. It's now sitting in my dustbin waiting for collection with just a few teeth marks. I'll be sticking to toast if I ever get that desperate for 'lazy' food. But to look at a more positive side, the service was good for me. Efficient and friendly.

As always, these things are a matter of opinion... but in my view, to sum up... YEUCH!!!

I have ordered through Firezza couple of times and I always got really quality pizza base, and very good toppings. The delivery time was ok. I am located at London Victoria and the delivery was always prompted. So I don't know where those guys who complained about the delivery time are living but with me located at London Victoria, not a single problem.

For those who love Italia style pizza, I would only recommend Firezza!

Thanks guys!

The worst pizza delivery service in London. Ordered a 1/2 meter pizza tonight at 9pm. At 10pm the pizza had not arrived, so we called the store. We were told "it will be there in 20 minutes, as the driver is just leaving the store.

Two more phone calls later - our pizza arrived at 11.10pm. two hours and 10 minutes after we ordered.
