I'm really very surprised to see the number of bad reviews here. I've luckily never had a bad experience from Firezza...in fact, it's made me somewhat of a pizza snob.

You don't get a lot of authentic, neapolitan, true 'foodie' pizzas available for takeaway or delivery in London, and I always found the quality of ingredients Firezza use - from their plump tiger prawns, sweet juicy tomatos, mozzarella and parma ham - to be unrivalled, especially in the pizza delivery sector. I doubt you'd find the same quality of ingredients in any of the larger chains, and in actual fact I'd say you get more value for your money as they always run some sort of deal.

And their Italian desserts, especially the Bacci ice cream is yum. For me, it's a weekend treat, a real pick-me-up food and I would personally, definitely, recommend Firezza. It makes all the other lame pizzas - frozen or otherwise - look like greasy, tastless imitations.

I can honestly say this was the worst food delivery service I have ever had. I was quoted 50-60 minutes delivery time, the pizza arrived 2 hours later. When it did arrive it was cold and chewy. I called twice to find out what was happening, once after an hour and was told it would be delivered in 20 minutes. I called again 40 minutes later to be given yet more excuses about the fact they're very busy as it's a bank holiday. I completely understand that bank holidays are going to be busy times. But give a realistic delivery time and inform us that it might be delayed as you are busy.

Ordered from the Highbury and Islington branch.

We ordered yesterday. It took more than 40 minutes and the pizza were cold! Moreover, they serve the parma ham, rocket, buffalo mozzarella, basil leaves separately (OK, it is written in the menu... but it is still weird...). There were more roots than leaves in the rocket. I would have rather had my mozzarella melted with the rest of the pizza. Next time I will order just the margherita and save the 3 extra pounds for a 1/4 of a mozzarella... anyway, I won't order there anymore, it was disappointing.

I ordered a pizza at about 10:00pm from the Islington branch to be delivered to WC1. The pizza arrived at about 11:15pm and was cold and leathery and generally pretty awful. Even the box was wet!!! This is the first time that I have ordered from this place and I think the service and quality of the food is awful and leaves much to be desired.

I am surprised by the recent poor reader review of Firezza on Highbury Corner. I lived in Stoke Newington a year ago and had Firezza pizzas every fortnight and have yet to find any better pizza resturant for true, authentic neapolitan pizza.

Delivery was always pretty punctual and my orders always arrived hot with just the right amount of topping, the ice cream always ice cold and the tiramisu was a generous helping but light enough after indulging in more than my fair share of of pizza. I was always impressed with the freshness of the ingredients, no dried herbs and fragrant basil.

The portion sizes were just right and I don't mind paying a little extra for a salad when you know it is always going to be fresh, green and full of flavour. I'm yet to find another pizza delivery company who have such tasty tomatoes and mozzarella that tastes as it should.

I think the key to Firezza is the simplicity - they excel in interesting combinations of toppings such as the patate or the firezza but just the right amount, as is traditional in Italy. They considerately keep some of the toppings separate from the pizza, such as rocket so it doesn't wilt before it arrives with you and the presentation is great.

I've recently moved to Chiswick and found this branch of Firezza to be just as good and the staff to be friendly and helpful.

This must the worst restaurant in London. Incredibly poor and rude service and bad food. We had to wait for ages to place our orders, for the drinks and the food, which was cold and tasteless. In short: Avoid at all costs!!!

We were desperately unhappy with an order we placed with the Highbury and Islington branch of this chain. We ordered a margherita pizza, tiramisu, banoffee pie, and a rocket salad. It cost about £23. The salad was something like £4, and when the delivery finally arrived (30 minutes late) the salad container was only about one-third full, containing only a tiny shaving of parmesan and one single lonely tomato. We rang to complain, but since the delivery-person had already dropped off the delivery and, er, left (as I believe is traditional) the woman on the end of the phone tried to brush us off, saying that there was nothing more she could do. We were not happy with this, particularly when she proceeded to become ruder and more aggressive with each comment, progressing from 'Well, it wasn't my fault, it's the fault of the kitchen' to 'What do you want me to do about it?' and then 'Well, I can't help you, you'll have to write a letter to complain then.'. Very very strange version of customer service it was.... So we left it (what else could we do?) but were still very unhappy. The pizza was of course cold because the delivery had taken such a tremendously long time (we had been assured it would arrive within an hour, but it only just made it inside 90 minutes). The puddings were the biggest disappointment however. The tiramisu was extremely dry and made without coffee (interesting take on a classic dish...) and the banoffee had been made with raw condensed milk that no-one had taken the trouble to caramelise! So it was runny and horrid and not very 'offee', and, well, completely wrong. Both puddings were inedible. Having found the awful 'customer service' person so loathe to do her job, we couldn't bear to call her again. I hope that no-one else has to have such a sad experience ordering from this place, and that perhaps someone might see their way clear to pointing Miss Telephone Manner in the direction of a charm school.

The worst pizzas in London, no idea what the hype is about. Poor service as well, rude insolent staff, and management. I have never written a negative review before.

Having enjoyed their pizzas before, ordered from Firezza for the third time. Third time NOT lucky. Pizzas took ages to come and then were cold on arrival. You'd also need a magnifying glass to find the topping. We called the restaurant straight away, but the "manageress" said she'd personally inspected the pizzas on their departure and there was nothing wrong with them. Oh dear, why DO these people think that customers will stand for this kind of nonsense. Will be ordering again? Answers on a postcard.

I love Firezza pizzas. Firezza delivered to me on many occasions when I lived in Wandsworth. My favourite pizza is the 'Firezza' pizza. I even persuaded my office to order in Firezza pizza for working lunches... I'm not living in London right now but when I move back up the first thing I am gonna do is order a Firezza pizza!
