We went there for more than 4 times in the last 2 months and found this place to be a gem in the middle of Battersea. The price you pay for the tapas you get is peanuts compared to the quality of food you get along with the quality of service from experienced waiting staff. Believe you in me, i go to tapas restaurants all the time and this place stands out for the value you play
I highly recommende the calamaris Romana/ pataotoes Bravas and the Gambas prawns with garlic, its absolutely to die for and it melts in your mouth. I wouldnt waste money on the spanish omellete.
Apart from that i would recommend this place espiecally on Sundays and Tuesdays as they have 50% off tapas deals.
Aslo forgot to mention their house Rioja is to die for under £14.00 and is the best riajo i have tasted in fr a long time under £27.00...
The only sad thing about this Gem of a place is its always sitting empty and need peaple to go out there and try this euthantic Gem of Restaurant.

My partner and I had been there a couple of times for a quiet Saturday lunch. One day we had to find a nice restaurant in the area that could accomodate sixteen people. We decided to go for this.
The dinner was flawless, the kitchen took a while to get our orders out, but I think that you'd expect that anywhere with such a big group of people. The sangria wasn't that good, so after the first jar we went for an excellent (and reasonably priced) red wine.
The tapas were all delicious, as we remembered them to be, and good portions as well! I heard that the fish paella didn't match the expectations, but the hot chorizo was the best my mates had ever tried. I had the vegetarian option so I can't tell.
Service was also good, waitresses always looking after us even though the restaurant was full. I am giving 9 to food only because of what I heard about the paella and the sangria, it would have been a 10 otherwise.
Excellent value for money, this restaurant is definitely a gem.

My husband and I come here every Sunday, weather permitting, after a trawl round Battersea boot fair, and we love it. It's friendly, the food is great and the atmosphere is superbly laid back. One of my favourite London restaurants and extraordinarily good value. Don't miss this gem!

La Movida is fantastic.
The cooking is authentic, well executed and brimming with flavour (due ostensibly to the fact they use wonderfully fresh ingredients). The tapas selection isn’t the most comprehensive or exciting (all the usual suspects are here) but what really stands out is the paella Valencia, it really is worth the wait and travel. Before you order the paella they tell you it will take 25 minutes which is a great sign that they’re not just throwing it in the microwave like so many other ‘Spanish’ restaurants.
This is a gem of a local restaurant, if you live in the area then do the right thing and support this excellent eatery. Restaurants like this rely upon the patronage of local residents, not that this should be a reason to visit; the food will have you coming back time and again as its heads and shoulders above the rest of the competition.
