Panzanella

This is a gem of a restaurant. The restuarant is a 5 minute walk from clapham junction, yet tucked away just past the clamour of all the bars and the chain restuarants on the Northcote Road. The food is delicious (the risotto is a must), is always well presented and the service is attentive. My boyfriend and I go regularly and have never been disappointed.

I took a friend to Panzanella last night and the meal was excellent. I'd been there once before and enjoyed it. The food is fresh, tasty and very well presented and tastes as if it's cooked to order. Our main course was a "special" of the day : garlic butterfly prawns with risotto. It certainly tasted of garlic and was delicious, with a small mound of excellent risotto in the middle. Pudding was good too: we shared a bread and butter pudding with vanilla ice-cream.
They also offer a very decent wine list. The service is friendly, attentive and professional and there is a nice, small outdoor area to sit if you prefer. The standards are surprisingly high for such a small, unassuming place. Some of the prices are a bit higher than in the average trattoria, but it's worth it.
