Went early October, Party of 4 2 adults 2 teenage Daughters - Sat in a booth and we had a great time. Very attentive waiters, Made a big thing of my wifes birthday - ended with eight or so waiters singing happy birthday!!
Food may just be posh burger bar but I had one of the best steaks i have ever eaten. Cost about £25 each which I thought was reasonable for middle of London. Good atmosphere and not too in your face. Plenty of Film memorabilia to check out

went to Planet Hollywood on Saturday 18th November at 12midday. I wasnt expecting to enjoy it that years old daughter that we went. I have to say that i LOVED it! we had a good table on the raised horror bit and a lovey young waiter who was very attentive and seemed to appear at just the right moments. My husband and I had surf and turf which was beautifully cooked but totally overpriced. Iloved the atmosphere and the music wasnt too loud. Good time of day to go as service was very good. We would love to go again once we have won the lottery!!!

Similarly to other reviewers, this was my second visit to Planet Hollywood - last time was a whole lot better! Having taken the children to the theatre, my son, who had not been previously, was desperate to go. What can I say.... an hour and a half wait, not strictly their fault as it was half term, but I don't think they were being completely honest about the waiting times. The food was very average and so overpriced! And as for the wine.. well the cost of that was laughable! Our waiter was a nice enough guy, but certainly wouldn't have chosen to leave the service charge.. I think the lights were dim so I couldn't read it properly. Unfortunately, overall the experience was very, very disappointing and once again I feel an example of a company who get people through the door by reputation and by appealing to the kids, but once you're there leave you feeling decidedly ripped off! Great shame.. we won't be back!

We dinned at the Leicester Square Planet Hollywood, once, in mid August 2006, when we were visiting London for a few days. We found it overly expensive, and definitely not worth the money. It reminds one of a glorified "Burger-King style (and taste) of a place", but only not as good and reasonably priced as the actual and nearby Burger-King establishment. We are a family of five. We ordered a starter, four standard burgers, soft drinks and milkshakes for all of us, at a cost of £125!!! Who do they think they are? Stay away!

Took the children to London for a treat and had a meal in Planet Hollywood. The restaurant was empty but despite this was declined a "booth" seat as this was for parties of 5+ and we were 4. Sat us at a table with rickety chairs and a dingy yellow plastic cloth. The food was unexciting and very expensive for the quality delivered to our table. The atmosphere was stale and unexciting - albeit noisy. Requested 10 times to speak to manager but was told "Host" would not permit booth seating. Restaurant have replied we should have asked a manager. Their customer service is appalling!

We visited Planet Hollywood for a second time recently what a let down. The restaurant was very tatty and run down and the food was really average, it didn't match the experience we had the first time we went there. The restaurant was empty and there was very little atmosphere. It was a real shame.

Having been to Planet Hollywood once a few years ago, and again recently, all I can say is that it's a great place to eat if you love American food.
It was a busy Saturday night on Easter weekend, we were seated immediately, served drinks, and the food arrived within reasonable time. Our waitress was lovely. She introduced herself and if we needed anything as she was passing all we need do is politely call for her and she was there.
And as for the food, best burger I've ever tasted - perfectly cooked! And the Mayo....I'm not a fan but that stuff was amazing!!
All in all, if you want quality then you pay for quality. Cocktails are rather nice too :) I'm even taking my other half there for his first visit soon!

We went there on Saturday 22nd April 2006 at 12pm, the restaurant was almost empty. Our waitress was extremely good, service was excellent, but that was probably because the restaurant wasnt very full.My friend enjoyed her pasta dish, i ordered a blue cheese burger. I had expected the cheese to be melted on top of the burger but it was just crumbled over the top.
We enjoyed it but found the decor to be shabby and dated. Furthermore, the price of the food was way above what it's worth.

We have just had our first day out in London. We live in Lincolnshire, so were excited to be having a day out in the City. We planned what we wanted to do in advance, mainly wanting to check everywhere out prior to taking our 3 children in the near future. At lunchtime we decided to go to Planet Hollywood, thinking it would be absolutely fantastic. The only thing fantastic about it was the bill at the end. The place was dated. The chairs were worn out, torn, foam sticking out - disgusting. We are non-smokers and feel strongly about eating in non-smoking restaurants. When we were shown to a table we weren't asked whether we wanted smoking or non-smoking, so assumed that it all must be non-smoking. Wrong. We sat down and ordered our food when we started getting strong smells of smoke! We complained to the waitress, who said that nothing could be done, because the smoke was wafting from the smoking area and we were as far away from that as was possible. We ordered our Burger and Chips (£10.45 each!!) and were then more or less forced into Nachos for starters. Later finding out that it cost another £8 for 5 Nachos. The burger and chips were good, but nowhere near worth the money. The chips were extremely salty - I think this was so you would order more drinks!! We only had one drink each. Finally, the bill came, totalling £38 which had a £4 something "service charge" added into the total! What a cheek!! We just paid the bill and said to ourselves, we would NEVER go there again and it was the only thing about our day out that was really disappointing. We love our food, and that was supposed to be the main highlight of the day. I wish we had gone to Burger King instead. We could have had 3 or 4 Chicken Royale burgers each for that price! The music playing in there was mainly really old stuff. The decor and memorabilia was dated and of no interest whatsoever. In fact, as we are writing this review, I think we may actually write a letter to Planet Hollywood itself to say just how bad it was. Please be warned. Do not eat here. And after reading everyone elses reviews on this site, you will hopefully believe us!!!

So disappointing it became hilarious, and is now a family joke as in "do you remember when we went to Planet Hollywood?"
We went on 16 December 2005 and booked a smoking table for five 2mths previously. On arrival we were told that the whole place was non smoking that night, but it was OK because everybody was "smoking" with the excessive heat due to lack of air conditioning and over crowding. After a very long wait, we were pushed into a corner next to a table of braying office workers - my mother actually had to climb to get to her seat!! We had a great view of dirty peeling skirting boards and tatty fraying carpet and were unable to leave our seats to look at the memorabilia. The tablecloths were paper and the cheap cutlery both water stained and bearing food residue of previous users - yuk! After 30 mins the bolshie overworked waitress brought our £3.95 shakes - my sister's still had clumps of chocolate powder in it (!), but my vanilla with fresh strawberries was, in fact, yummy.
Main courses were just OK (not good enough for the money) but my rack of ribs was awful - the overcooked meat was so resolutely adhered to the bone, it would have taken a blowtorch to obtain any kind of leverage. The coating on the spicy chicken was unusually cheesy, and not to my taste. We skipped dessert, and the final insult was a 12% service charge on the bill "for your convenience". Like, what?
We didn't pay the charge, something we would never normally do and felt our waitress' eyes boring daggers into our backs as we trooped out...I felt sorry for her, but more sorry for us.
Don't go there - you have been warned...
