Instead, I have no complain about this cafe service.I found it overall Chamomile has proven to be a professional restaurateur by its food quality, services, value and facilities. They really make sure that all customers are well taken care of and leave the cafe with satisfaction.

My husband and I are one of the regular customer and very surprised on couple of negative reviews in some website as well . It must be because of this cafe is so popular in the neighbourhood and customers are coming back .

I really love their food selections. Oh, I should really speak highly about Chamomile home made Christmas Pudding which was absolutely delicious. It's a 5-star quality and taste!! A big compliment to the chef!!

We surely come to Chamomile again soon.. :)

I am so amazed to hear of the previous reviewers bad experience with the staff at Chamomile. I have always found them to be completely the opposite - very friendly, charming, happy and helpful. I regularly go 'off piste' with my orders and they are always obliging and offer culinary suggestions. One review I read, called them 'happy and chummy' and I would heartily agree.

I would urge you to give them another try - they may have been having a very bad day. If you like everything else about the cafe, it's worth giving it a shot!

Foodwise, I particularly love the homemade muesli and fruit salad combo, and the lunch specials on the boards are excellent value and very good quality. They get all their meat from Barretts opposite, which is reassuring too.

Don't be put off by one bad experience. This is a fabulous, happy and tasty cafe yumyumyum.

This is a cosy little cafe - tucked away in Belsize park. It is a favourite with the weekend breakfast crowd and is usually packed. The menu is really good, if a little on the expensive side, with a nice selection of wholesome dishes, a variety of breakfasts and deli style dishes. Vegetarians have a good selection. So it should be an absolute destination of choice for people looking for a bolt-hole on a rainy day, a good cup of coffee or a healthy lunch. Unfortunately it also has the rudest waiting staff in London who appear to have learnt their customer service style from the a high security prison, a training school for dominatrices, or a 1950s girls boarding school - where regular beatings are on the menu.

Don't dare to ask questions about the menu (even though the menu suggests this is what customers do) or you will find yourself being loudly berated. In fact don't ask for anything at all unless you want to receive scouls, stares and tellings off. The waitresses seem to revel in the humiliation and bullying of their customers. What should be a charming dining experience can be made stressful and unpleasant - so diner beware!

@AndyLynes - Have used ours twice and found it much the same as tomato puree. Perhaps we've missed a trick?
