I have been to many Indian restaurants and this has really nice food. I would recommend anyone to go there and try it out. It seems that some people have had bad experiences. But every time I have been in there it seems to be lovely and the staff are friendly.

Unfortunately, this place is probably the best Indian in the Belsize Park area. That said, the food and service is far from great.

Some dishes seem watered down and meat dishes feel like they've been standing for a while. Service is acceptible, but i get the feeling this place has been going downhill.

Hopefully they'll buck their ideas up soon.

this is mine and everybody i knows favourite indian restaurant. the food is good, but ordinary. I run a record company and I always take my artists there, even famous ones. but once we met some devil woshippers with strange upside down crosses painted on their heads. it was funny, but the food was still good.

I recommend curry manjill we all love it. and i have eaten at some right posh restaurants.

best for takeaways though it is a bit boring in there sometimes. sometimes not though. its just a local indian restaurant.

Cara and her husband have obviously had good experiences at this restaurant and I've only eaten there once, so perhaps this was just an 'off' day.

This concession extended, I and my fellow diners were far from pleased by the place. The manager on duty had clearly been trained at the Basil Fawlty School for Hospitality.

The first sign that something was wrong was when one of my companions ordered a half bottle of wine from the menu. That wasn't available, 'but the full bottle isn't too big' [direct quotation].

A professional would have alerted us to this before we studied the menu, apologised for it not being available, suggested an alternative or even offered a full bottle for the price of a half one. On the plus side his absurd statement did provide us with plenty of amusement.

The next mistake was ordering nan bread. That wasn't available - and again there was no apology, just a 'it's your fault for being so stupid as to expect this' - in an Indian restaurant - attitude.

Obviously we should have walked out there and then, but various reasons militated against this. Confidence was not raised by a succession of men arriving carrying boxes - were they actually getting a take-away from down the road and pretending it came from their kitchen ?(more shades of B. Fawlty).

When it arrived the food was good, although nothing to write home about. The exception was the bread standing in for the nan, which was very feebly heated. Of course we should have complained, but by this point we'd hung up the white flag, decided to cut our losses and skip a dessert.

It was astonishing how expensive this modest meal was (even though we skipped a tip as well as the dessert).

I should also emphasise that the restaurant was not busy when we were there.
