Lanzi's
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
I want to set the record straight! Lanzi's is one of many Italian restaurants in the area and is doubtless one of the best. The waitresses are charming, the kitchen serves generous portions of classic Italian dishes, just as you would want them: no nonsense, good ingredients, well and simply cooked. OK, it's not the River Cafe, but you can't fault it... (and you're not paying £40 for your main course either!). The previous reviewer may have considered Lanzi's responsible for ruining his wife's bithday, my husband would like nothing more than to have his birthday dinners here! Oh and if I remember rightly, your garlic bread only comes with cheese if you request cheese!

I went to Lanzi's for my wife's birthday the other night and am sorry to say that it was a terrible experience all round.
the food was average at best. how can you claim to be an italian restaurant and offer cheesy garlic bread? although that was probably the nicest thing we ate.
the service was poor and even at peak time on a saturday night the place was empty.
very disappointing, i felt very guilty for ruining my wife's birthday. we certainly won't be back.
