I usually dine at the Blue Lagoon but however on one occassion, 29th June 2007 my friends and I was given quite poor service compared to the normal top service have been given in the past. I had boasted to my friends before hand how lovely the Blue Lagoon is but they did not agree with me because of their first visit.

I have dined here once and had a good experience. The food is served reasonable quickly and staff are polite. The restaurant had quite a traditional feel about it, which is pleasant.

We have booked a table of 6 last Saturday. It was the third time we experience this restaurant. The food is still good with nice atmosphere and a quick service. I had a platter for starters with prawns, crab claw and fish which was quite good for people who like fried food. All my friends were also delighted by the quality of the food. The manager is also nice and efficient. This is probably the best thai restaurant in the area of High Street Kensington

I agree, the service leaves much to be desired, we held an engagement lunch at the Kensington branch in June 2005, but we found the food to be great. The set price for lunch (3 courses for £8.50) was a super price and we enjoyed ourselves so much that the surly waiter did little to put us off. I would happily book a lunch there again, it is less crowded and less expensive than in the evening.

Visited on a Thursday evening in a group of six and left feeling very dissatisfied. The menu appeared to be exciting and varied, but the dishes we received were all pretty much the same - small portions and drowned in identical salty liquid. However, my main point of concern was the rude and impatient waiter, who in his haste to bang the dishes on the table, spilled one of them all over the cloth. When it came to the bill, we were charged for more drinks than we had had, and the same waiter was again curt and unpleasant when asked to alter it. The only thing going for this restaurant is its mediocre decor.

Although the service was good, the food was poor. Most of it tasted like it had come straight from the freezer. The fish in our choice of dishes (bass, prawns, squid) tasted very fishy which is supposed to be a sign that it is not fresh. Added to this, most of the items on the menu were either deep fried or fried. The 7.50 pound Pad Thai with prawns came with 4 prawns - what a rip off! The 8.50 pound squid main course looked like a starter. Will never go back.
