Really lovely place for dinner - we had delicious food, wonderfully chilled white wine - unlike some restaurants where the wine is never cold enough. There was a great atmosphere - busy but not overwhelming noise and distraction, and the staff are fantastic - quick, polite and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I have now made this my local. I've always heard this is a good pub and until about 3 months ago, had never visited but now can't keep away from the place.

Real fires with a cedarwood smell, great atmosphere and really friendly staff (although turnover seems to be quite high). The food is good, if a little pricey along with their wines - but it's worth it.

Great location and fantastic interior, I feel happy coming here for a night out with friends or just to chill out on a Sunday next to the fire with a good book.

Love it!

Whenever I visit South West London I always call into the Alma to meet up with the ever increasing group of mates that seem to end up residing in these posh parts! This is what a London pub is all about… great beer (with a decent enough head!) brilliant atmosphere and some top notch food. I had the Pork Belly which was perfectly cooked with a nice hard skin and melt away pork. My girlfriend had what I was reliably informed as “the best burger in London” which was huge and we all had to assist with the polishing off!

The service was laid back and friendly and always reminds me of what a London pub should be as it is not the same up north unfortunately!

Always a pleasure to visit the Alma and muchos improved food from the new head chef. Have recently ventured there a few times following a friends engagement party. Beautiful restaurant and a great atmosphere. Staff were a delight.

The Alma is my local, living just 1 minute away and I've finally decided to write a review to garner them to pull their socks up! The pub is a local institution but needs to be respected by the owners, we all come to the Alma as it is our local and we want to suport it and when you're recognised the staff are fine. The trouble comes when friends go there and we then go to meet them. The staff are a joke, no welcome of any sort, sloppy, shoddy and non-caring service. Off wine, beer too warm, dirty glasses, limp lemon, flat minerals is becoming all too common and we're sick of it! The food is now a disgrace and needs to improve 200% to justify the eye-watering price. Get it sorted or we'll all end up in the Ship!

Having been to the restaurant today, I have to write a review.

We were given a very poor welcome, and I sent back my starts as the Moules where £6.95 and I received only 9 small mussels.... when I mentioned this to the waitress she was so rude. We were then asked to leave the table when we were still drinking our coffee and finishing our wine when they didn't need the table for another 1.5 hours! Unbelievable.... appalling staff.
