The Vindaloo

Went to the Vindaloo in Hammersmith last week for the second time in 6 months and once again the food and service were both fantastic.

I recommend the Evergreen Chicken for a starter, it is simply delicious and served on a sizzling bed of tasty onions. Main courses were very generous and left us feeling full and content.

My friend had the "Yummy Lamb", which he found to be VERY yummy! I had the Chicken Madras and it was cooked to perfection.

The Cobra was super chilled, just like good lager should be.

The bill was, we thought, very reasonable for 2 of us and we found the waiter to be extremely polite and helpful.

So to sum up, look out for the lovely lights in the window as you walk along King Street, walk in and give this great little restaurant a try. You won't be dissapointed!

We went to The Vindaloo after reading the glowing reviews on this website, and I have to say that it was a perfectly good meal - lovely dinstinct flavours and really well priced (we went on the 50% deal). The atmosphere was relaxed rather than romantic and the service slightly bumbling although friendly and polite - not a place to impress someone, but certainly not one to disappoint.

Been to The Vindaloo recently.Good value of money, generous portions, delicious food, nice and sober decor, real feel of India. We liked it very much. Had a nice and different curry from any other curry house after ages. Thanks to The Vindaloo. We are definately going back
