I can only speak for the bar as I was attending "The Big Fancy Dress Party" held on 28 October.
While a great atmosphere, my friend and I thought it very odd that after two pitchers between TWO of us, we felt absolutley no effect of alcohol and stronly felt they not only watered down the drinks, but didn't put ANY alcohol in them whatsoever. We are not big drinkers and are not concerned with getting a 'buzz,' but when we've paid £30 for pitchers of ice, water, and cranberry juice, we were a bit disappointed.
When we wrote a letter of complaint, we were basically told by the management they had confidence in their staff and there was no way they did that. Oh well. Their word against ours. I won't pursue the argument, but I will spread the word and not go again.

I have had some very enjoyable 'girlie' lunches since it re-invented itself as Agenda. It does seem to have its ups and downs but generally offers very good value for money. Well worth a visit.

We go to Abacus quite often for lunch - the menu is interesting, with something for everyone; the service prompt and friendly; and the price pretty good for the location! The only downside is that you really need to book - turning up on a hope and a prayer could lead to disappointment, especially on a Friday!
