I came here with my awesome colleagues Dan and David, we enjoyed it immensely! The food was great, and was perfect just to enjoy a lunch time break from slaving away over a hot keyboard. When the sun is out the outdoor area is an excellent spot to admire the turbulent and mysterious water of the Thames. It is a shame the outdoor section gets busy, so booking early is advised! I can't wait to head back and treat my colleagues to another lunch time meal!

Being for the first time to a pub in London, it absolutely met my expectations.

The food was good and the service was excellent.

If you do not want to go to a touristic place, you should definitely pay The Gun a visit.

The atmosphere is great and the outdoor area is a plus.

We booked the River Room at the Gun for my mum's surprise 60th Birthday and had a fantastic time! The food was amazing and everyone had a really wonderful time. The staff were fabulous and really attentive. We had an amazing view of the 02 and the river thames!

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was looked after. I could not recommend this place enough! I will definitely be booking future events at the Gun again.

Thank you again to all the staff and hopefully see you all again very soon!

Held a 40th Birthday dinner in the Cabin Room - great food and lovely service from the manager and our waitress on the evening, and great support from Vanessa throughout the process of organising things. The team was very accomodating with us having lots of bags, large boxes and a buggy. Although we had some stragglers who turned up a little later than expected we did not feel rushed to take our seats and the service was smooth throughout. Have eaten in the main restaurant several times before and would always recommend a visit.

Had a Team Lunch in the River Room.

Fantastic food, service and stunning views across the Thames.

An ideal place for a Summer BBQ/Party.

Would definitely recommend this little gem!

Organised a group dinner for 17 in the Cabin Room. The process was very efficient and Vanessa was a pleasure to deal with. Food and wine were first class and I was particularly impressed with the service - we had a dedicated waiter who was very attentive but not intrusive. Although we had to pre-book our menu the staff were able to cope with a last minute cancellation and a change of choice by one of the guests after we had sat down. All-in-all an excellent evening and highly recommended.

I have also eaten in the main restaurant which was great, with a much wider range of dishes, and as a beer-lover I can recommend the range and quality of the real ales.

We booked the River Room at The Gun for a 90th birthday lunch. The room was beautiful with an elegant atmosphere and a superb view over the river and the Millennium Dome. Only downside was that the staircase to the first floor was a little tricky for our older guests!

Food was excellent, and the service was most attentive and of a high quality throughout.

We will definitely be coming again - maybe for the 100th birthday celebration, if not before!

If you are looking for great food, lovely wines and fabulous service then look no further than The Gun.

I booked the beautiful River Room for my husband's 40th lunch and from the moment I made the initial enquiry to the moment we left we were really well looked after. Vanessa and the events team made the planning and booking really easy, and Mary-Grace, who looked after us so well on the day, kept a smile on her face as we swapped seats constantly, knocked over drinks, asked for water for painting, trailed in and out to use the bathroom and created a racket dancing to James Brown and PSY.

All our friends left saying it was a perfect afternoon. I expect there could be some re-runs in the near future.

Booked a corporate Christmas Lunch with The Gun, and could not recommend this place enough! Food was divine, service helpful, friendly and efficient, and atmosphere spot on.

Great team that work there - they really make you feel relaxed and will definitely be returning for another delicious meal!

Friday, July 23, 2010 - A Grelha sits at the edge of the Thames, overlooking the water and the O2 centre in the distance. However, it is not technically a stand-alone restaurant in its own right, rather it is a make shift al fresco area of The Gun, which opens during sunny days and warm nights...I wasn't under any illusions, its got the sun, its got the cocktails, and its got the fresh seafood. One shouldn't expect much more than that, but I had expected a more exotic choice, no lobster, crab, oysters or steak on the menu. I'll give food a big fat zero (ok one and a half for the clams) but a seven for atmosphere.

Monday, March 16, 2009 - As it's Sunday, and I love a roast dinner, I go for Roast Sirloin of Beef...Mine is good, the potatoes are gorgeous and crispy, the beef is nicely cooked, definitely one of the better Sunday dinners I've had anywhere. There's some kind of problem with the offered Horseradish sauce, it doesn't seem to have any actual Horseradish in it!...I like it eye wateringly pungent, but this is soon put right by a passing waitress.
