Bocked 1/4 of the terrace for company event and have to say that service and friendlyness of staff was very, very good. Everything discussed previously was perfectly organised and everybody had a very good time.

We had a work lunch here for 30 people on the sun terrace, with great views of the O2. The Events Manager, Lisa Persson was SO helpful and organised all our requirements successfully. The venue, staff and food on the day was SUPERB! I would have no hestitation in recommending The Gun to others.

I went to The Gun last night for the first time. It was a quiet birthday celebration and we had a really lovely time. The staff were very welcoming, the food was interesting and tasty and the terrace warm even as the evening drew in. I will certainly go back soon.

For the 2nd year in a row we have held our Work Team Offsite here, and again we had a great time.

We had our lunch out on the Terrace which was Fantastic. We were able to order during a coffee break in the morning, so lunch was served quick and we were able to get back to work - although after being on the Terrace for Lunch it was hard to leave to go back to work!

Service was lovely, Lisa, the Manager, always strying to help and she is always smiling & happy! Her team also were wonderful and we were looked after very very well!

Would definitely reccomend The Gun to everyone!

I celebrated a milestone birthday with 10 friends at the Gun in Docklands on Saturday 13th June and had a wonderful evening. I booked The River Room, Private Dining and Lisa the Events Manager took care of every detail. From the moment we walked into the room, which looked amazing, everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the wine was perfect and the service was attentive. This really is the perfect venue to spend a relaxed evening with a group of friends.

Last night (4th June 2009) we held a private cocktail party at The Gun Pub in Docklands for the launch of a new music CD. Our booking from start to finsih was looked after by Lisa Persson in a wonderful, friendly and professional manner. On the evening Lisa, her colleague Genevieve and the other staff at The Gun truly went out of their way to ensure that our event went off without a hitch. A special mention must go to the chef and his staff in the kitchen - our cocktail snacks were so beautifully presented, really substantial and absolutely delicious!! The only negative was that we wished we had ordered about 10 times the number of snacks as they were that good. We have often eaten at The Gun in their restaurant and in the pub and it has always been really good. This is the first time that we have held a private function there, and my guess is that it won't be the last!

When sitting downing Super Bok and Sangria as the sun goes down over the Thames from A Grelha (the BBQ bit next to the Gun) it is easy to suppose it is the nicest place to drink and eat on a sunny afternoon near Canary Wharf. The food is good and not over complicated, try the mixed fish kebabs, and the views over the Thames and Millennium Dome are welcomed by anyone new to London or sick of crowded bars in sweaty city centres. However, in my opinion the largest advantage of A Grelha is the flexibility offered by having a table outside for the evening. It allows people to eat when they wish and this allows people to come and go as they please, or in our case continue ordering until the Kitchen closed and everyone was full, satisfied and very drunk….

We phoned to book a table of 10 for lunch and were immediately advised to take the private room upstairs. Once the staff were aware that the lunch was for a special occasion they went out of their way to decorate the room and make the lunch special. The room itself was lovely and the staff extremely attentive on the day. Food was excellent.

For a special occasion, for a maximum group of fourteen, there is not a better location that the River Room at The Gun. The setting, food and service are all magnificent. Like dining in a private club with a magnificent view over the Thames. Excellent menu, excellent inobstrusive service. Have had two private functions there in the last four years and the standards are consistently high. The regular restaurant as well very good.

I highly recommend The Gun. I've eaten there a few times and recently organised a family birthday party in the River Room. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room we had was charming, it was a really interesting menu and the food was great. Birthday cake at the end of the meal was a particular hit and everyone really enjoyed the evening.
