I only discovered this restaurant via a Chinese friend at work after going off Chinese food (and switching to Thai and Indian) after one too many bad experiences (mostly in China Town).
Food in this place is just amazing not only because of range of dishes but execution as well and taking prices into account one of the best in London. There are many dishes which are not common in Chinese restaurants (like deep fried pig intestines; I did not enjoy this dish) and sea food selection, especially scallops, garlic squid and razor clams, is even worth giving up duck dishes for (best to try both though).
The wine list is surprisingly extensive even stretching to some classy Bordeaux, although I would stick to more basic Riojas etc. Beer is very good value as well.
The service is very efficient and you are wellcome to ask for advice regarding dishes. Portions are very generous, but staff do not try to sell you more food then you can sensibly eat (and believe me, I and my friends can eat a lot).
There are some problems, mostly with quality and maintenance of "back of the house" facilities, so I would not advise anyone to take his business contacts there, unless relationship is truly established.
Overall though, it has to be the best value Chinese in Central/West London.

I came here on Friday night (around 6.30pm) with my boyfriend, I often visit London and cannot believe I have never visited here before, it was gorgeous!
When we sat down, we noticed about 4 chinese couples and families also eating, this is how we knew it would be good food. we ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup and prawn crackers for our first starter, have to be honest I was disappointed with the soup, however, the rest of the food more than made up for it:
Giant king prawn with chilli and garlic - unbeatable
Seasame prawn toast - lot's of chunky prawn, delicious
Crispy duck and pancakes - best duck I have eaten, amazing, really light
Sweet and Sour chicken - tender, lightly crispy, big portion
Singapore vermicelli - beautifully cooked, light, tasty.
Staff were really friendly and attentive, they offered to pack up our left overs to take back to the hotel. The bill came to £40 with a large bottle of water, my boyfriend was pleasantly surprised!
It doesn't look much from the outside, but the food and service is 10/10, I suggest you go!

Great food, good service and price. My Chinese friends always bring me here so that about summarises it. I'd definitely say it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in London.

My family has been eating at this place for 15 years and we have followed the owner, Uncle Sweet, up and down Queensway for nearly 30 years. Uncle Sweet is now in Hong Kong but the food is still the best ever. I don't like sea food as a rule but I will eat anything on the menu there. The soft shell crab, the scallops and the calemari is melt in the mouth. The Roast Duck is unbelievable, it is always packed to the gills with Chinese people and the service is great. Make sure to wear something loose cos you will over eat. We always over order and take home doggy bags but as it such good value it is worth every penny. Some take outs I know are more expensive! China Town does not come close although there as couple of others on Queensway that are nearly (although not quite and pricier) as good. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

"New Fortune Cookie", located right next to the Queensway tube station, has the best roast duck that I have tasted in my three and a half years in London.
Now, I'm a big fan of roast duck, and eight times out of ten that I'm in Chinatown, I eat some form of roast duck - roast duck with rice, roast duck with soy chicken and rice, roast duck noodle soup, roast duck with fried noodle. Unfortunately, most places in Chinatown serve duck which is excessively fatty, and tastes slightly waxy.
But the roast duck at "New Fortune Cookie" was perfection itself. The meat was firm yet tender (as tender as roast duck can get), the skin was delicious, and even the fat of the fattiest part of the duck was succulent and sweet-tasting, instead of stomach-turning as I have often learnt, to my detriment.
The other dishes we had that night were equally delicious.
Now, even though I'm ethnically Belgian, I have to say that I cannot order Chinese food to save my life. But this much I know: Chinese food is not Sweet-and-sour Everything (chicken, pork, fish, vegetables). So if you want a taste of some real chinese food (as ordered by my housemate), these are the dishes we had that night:
- roast duck
- deep fried squid with salt and chillis
- mixed yong tao foo
- pork ribs with bitter gourd
- stir-fry snow pea shoots (aka. dou miao or dau miu) with garlic
So I would strongly recommend trying out the restaurant if you're in the area, or even making a special trip down, if you're food-mad.
That they actually give out fortune cookies is merely icing on the cake. (Fortune cookies aren't at all common here the way they are in the States.)
Of course the fact that my fortune that night read "A new romance is in the future" has nothing to do with my recommendation of the restaurant.

Simply one of the best Chinese Restaurants around.
Their Lobster Noodles and Salt and Chilli Prawns have to tasted to be believed.
I introduced my friends at work to this eaterie, and they all agree it is tops, and return whenever they can.
