This is my first review so here goes; the nice stuff first: the venue was well decorated and spacious and it had a good atmosphere (even at 10ish when we arrived) and the staff seemed friendly. So far so good.
The food however was terrible, there were 4 of us and we ordered a mixture of courses. The beef steak was flavourless and rubbery, the cheese side orders (enchiladas) and chicken dishes were totally disgusting. Furthermore the food is definitely overpriced at almost £9 for starters and £15 for main courses.
This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who went there in 2003, it was hard to see why they would recommend it. The restaurant is one of the worst places I have visited in 2008. I have been to many restaurants and I was really looking forward to dinning at Oscars. I was bitterly disappointed. This restaurant is way too overrated. Stick to Nando’s its 100% better and offers more value for money.

I've been here twice, I ordered the texas range burger both times. The burger was nice, the food in general was enjoyable the only issue i would have with this restaurant is the service.
The waitor who took my order the 1st time asked me if I wanted cheese in my burger...i replied no, yet the burger came back with cheese. I asked for a coke but I recieved a still water. On this occassion it was a communication problem, I dont think his english was too good, he was however very nice. It did annoy me that he took my plate away before I was finished, but i'll put this down to lack of proper communication.
The second time, again no problem but the friendly waitress kept interrupting me and my friend during our conversation, not once or twice but throughtout our meal - how many times do I have to say 'we're fine'? :/ Good food, annoying service.

Very Poor food.... the service Excelent but unfortunatly the food VERY VERY BAD... we order a Hamberguer and feels like they went to Tesco and put to burn one of the freeze ones... and serve it to us.... the meat was absolutly disgusting...
Is very shame because the service and the enviroment are really nice ...

Not impressed at all! Staff were OK but the food was only average and very expensive. For example, a bowl of Dorito's and dip (which we didnt even order) was £5. Will definitely not be going back.

Looks a great restaurant from the outside, quite busy around 9pm which is always a good sign. However rather expensive menu for what you get and food pretty average if not bland. Staff friendly enough although ordering a glass of wine provided a struggle as "Not enough glasses available"
Lack of vegetarian options and main courses are £14.95 per dish upwards.

Well the place looks good but the food is a) very expensive b) bland (isn't this meant to be a Mexican) and c) well boring. For two people without any wine the bill came to £50 and that is for only two courses. We ordered the mix starter which was awful and everything was so rubbery. The main was ok but they had to pour some awful babercue sause which they must have got from the local shop as it wasn't fresh. Overall not enjoyable and would not go again.

Get the chicken and cheese quesadilla! It's the best! I used to go there all the time when I lived in London and now I crave it everytime I go to a restaurant.

I went there on my last night in London, and I did enjoy it. The food was good and the staff really nice, however I do think it´s quite expensive, even for a London restaurant. I had the steak fajitas which was really good, but the steak didn´t taste mexican (Wasn´t hot at all). My friend had a steak with BBQ sauce and I must say, that´s the best sauce I have had in a long long time. All in all a good restaurant, and good news for the smokers - you can smoke there!

I went with some collegues for a leaving dinner to Oscars. The staff was really nice, the atmosphere was, considering being located in a shopping centre, okay. My collegues liked their food, I found it actually not really tasty. Compared to other Mexican restaurants, I would not recommend it. Maybe I was just unlucky. However, we had a great evening.
