Eaten there several times and never once been dissapointed, love the food. Try the sizzling Fajitas. Avoid the steak - its not great! Service is of a good standard and the staff are really friendly.

They put my wife, child and me onto a crampt table, so we asked to be moved to another table. My starter was soggy and cold. The steak was tough and chewy. My wife had 6 strips of steak for her fahita meal. Also the main waiter was sleepy, unbothered and was not really all there. The staff were very busy sorting and fixing the empty tables rather then serving customers. I still had to pay for my steak but I got a free dessert, which was nice, but was served with ice cream and not cream as ordered.
They did however offer to replace my steak El Hair Paso, but i felt a little queesy by that point and the staff were very apologetic. It would have been nice to be offered something more, so we won't be going back there in a hurry!

I have never sent food back or complained in a restaurant, simply because you don't want to annoy the person who makes your food, but this place was so appalling I had no choice.
The food was disgusting, not at all authentic. If not bland then foul tasting. I couldn't even figure out what flavour some of the food had. It was like a new sour disgusting sensation I've never tasted before. Really weird.
I'm not a fussy eater but I couldn't finish my plate and neither could my date, we we're starving as well.
The service was poor, the hygeine - not good. I found chewing gum on my fork and was ignored by the arrogant "ricky martin wannabe" waiter countless times.
It's a shame because this place has real potential but the owner obviously doesn't know what he is doing. To be fair he was sympathetic but was in denial that he owned a rubbish eatery because he had been in business for so long.
The only reason this place is still in business is because of it's tourist friendly location and lack of local competition in the "mexican food" market. If a place like "Benito's Hat" were to open anywhere near it, Oscars would be history. It relies solely on the ignorance and acceptance of the paying customer to just accept poor, poor crap on a plate.
Avoid this place. Try Benito's Hat.
And only ever bring a date here if they enjoy kicking up a fuss in a bad restaurant. Spread the word. Knowledge is power

Service was terrible. It took 20 minutes before the waiter came and took our order. They forgot to bring the drinks and we had to ask a second time. At the end, we had to ask 3 times the bill before it came with double amount of drinks. Clearly, the waiter didnt care.
The food was greasy, heavy and salty. It was ok, but no more.
The music was a single cd repeated over and over again. Pretty annoying in the end.
I wouldnt recommend that place unless you have a sudden mexican food envy. There are plenty of better restaurants in whiteley's, queensway and westbourne grove.
We didnt leave a tip.

We've eaten at Oscars on many occasions and have had a great experience. It's casual and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food portions are huge and tasty, the cocktails are delicious and it is all reasonably priced! We've never had troubles with the bill or the method of payment either. We highly recommend Oscars for a good, low key, relaxed dining experience!!

Absolutely one of the worst restaurants I have ever visited. We ended up at Oscars by chance since it was raining outside. First they put us at table positioned next to kitchen saying the 8 other tables in the restaurant were reserved.
We managed to convince the staff to give us a new table. We got one with a dirty tray on one of the seats and dirty cutlery. We ordered some overpriced fajitas, which mostly consisted of moist onion, as well as some jalapeno poppers which looked like they had been frozen.
Since we just wanted to get out of there we finished our food and asked the (so far) polite waiter for the bill. When the bill arrived there was a "non-optional" 12.5% service charge on the bill. I know, this happens all the time but at this so called restaurant the waiter asked for an additional service charge when I entered my pin code, explaining that the 12.5% only went to the kitchen staff and that you should give some to the waiters as well.
I wouldn't go back to this place even if they paid me. Stay away!!!

Oscar is one of my favorite places to eat when I visit London. The food is great (try the sizzling fajitas) and the frozen margaritha is the best I have ever had. As for service I always get treated really well (I smile at them and they smile at me and give good service) and I have NEVER payed cash at Oscars.
