Waited for ages.
Meals did not arrive together.
Very expensive.
Had to put up with waiter lighting other peoples candles from the one on our table.
Oh and they charged the couple in front of us £566 instead of £56.60, told them they would have to wait for several hours for a refund, and then questioned their attitude towards the staff. To be honest the couple were a lot more polite and calm than I would have been if presented with such a bill.

Why is this restaurant allowed to carry on trading? As locals we are appalled that this venue exists. We were hungry after Cleveland Squares excellent firework display and passed Zorbas on our way home. As described by the other reviews we ordered and then waited- and waited. The food that eventually appeared was unedible, the service pathetic. It was really so bad that we were prepared to call the police rather than pay the presented bill. The poor Finnish tourists at the table next to ours were relieved to see our reaction to the service and food as it allowed them to express their own displeasure.

We agree with all these comments... unfortunately for us... :( !!! We have waited for hours before having the meal we ordered, the quality is not very good and the restaurant is too expensive... We were 3: 1 coke, 2 bad beers, 1 small greek salad, 3 main courses and disgusting patatoes for the amont of £ 70,00... !!!
Beleive us, it's orrible!

On a whim, we dropped into Zorba 10th Oct. '06. Should have read the existing review first! After sitting for an hour, my wife was informed that they did not have enough time to make mousakka and was advised to change her order! We waited almost an hour for our appetizer and an hour and a half for the main course, which arrived just as I was about to leave in disgust after several inquiries into the status of our meal. We were charged for bread and tzatziki, which we were not pre-advised of. The portions were pitifully small, but at least they tasted decent. As we and a two thirds house waited, the sole chef (and, we assume, proprietor) made repeated trips from the kitchen to the door to lure people in off the street, which infuriated us - why wasn't he taking care of the clients he had already duped? Unless you are prepared to give up a chunk of your life, don't go there!

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. This was at about 11:30 p.m. on June 19, 2004, so it may have changed. The food was ok, but the portions were small, it was expensive, it was freezing cold in the restaurant, we had to pay for a small portion of tzatziki, which is usually free, and they charged us for bread that we didn’t ask for. We had to wait a long time to order, a longer time for our food to come, and waited a long, long time for the check. We even coined a term from the name of the restaurant: Zorba’d; to eat at a restaurant that is bad and can afford to be since it is in a touristy area and tourists will wander into it without knowing that it is horrible.
