This is a very good restaurant serving very good authentic Sardinian food. On our visit the octopus carpaccio was quite outstanding, & the red mullet roe pasta speciality lived up to its long-standing reputation. Excellent suckling pig, & the wine (their choice) was first class and priced tin the middle range.
Our service was attentive & friendly.
It is quite small, but our table was roomy enough. The cost per head of about £40 seemed pretty good value - restaurants which are really interested in food are very much to be encouraged.

Rubbish restaurant with rude staff -
Ha! If I want to be treated with distain I'll go to a really good restaurant not a Victoria Station pasta joint like this place.
They took our reservation for 7pm (making a big deal about how they would need the table back by 9pm etc etc) and when my husband got there at five minutes to 7, a very rude person told him he had to wait outside on the street until 7pm. Idiots.

I have now eaten here twice and it is definitely my new favourite Italian restaurant in London. The staff are lovely and happy to offer advice. The food is interesting and delicious and the wine particularly good. I am going to Sardinia in September and one waiter was kind enough to write down his favourite beaches, vineyards and restaurants around the south coast for me to explore. Until September though, I will be coming back to Olivo to get my Sardinian fix!

My fiancee and I went in without a booking quite late (about 21:30 ish) and found the place packed to the rafters and vibrant with people all enjoying their various dishes. We were seated after a short wait of about 10 minutes. The staff were all polite and friendly and the service was very good. Both our meals were absolutely delicious, I couldn't fault it. We had even ordered some linguini that was off menu just as an accompanyment all we had asked for was pasta witha drizzle of olive oil and some parmisan shavings. What we got was even better! The Maitre d' even apologised for the wait.
We had been at an award presentation where I won IT contractor of the year, so this was the perfect end to a fabulous day!
If I lived closer I would make it a regular haunt. Great, well done and thank you!

We have been here twice and we enjoy going here. It is a nice local restaurant, and pretty good value. Last time the bill was a bit of a surprise, but we had a very nice wine and a few glasses of Limoncello.
The staff is typically Italian and can act a bit spoiled, but they are nice especially the manager with his nice suggestions. I agree with some other reviews that you can be unlucky and have smokers sitting next to you, but that is unfortunately not just a problem at Olivo.
I will definitely go there again.

Sardinian food of amazing, consistent quality and by London standards, reasonably priced! The mostly Italian staff is very friendly to the point that one will be forgiven to think that one is dining in Italy.
The signature dish is patsa with botarga sauce [dried red mullet roe's shavings], superb salads and equally outstanding desrerts.

As Italian, I would not hesitate to recommend it. High standards. Pity for the smoking, though!

If you want a tasty light lunch in simple surroundings and a busy atmosphere then Olivos is the place.
I have never had a bad meal and although the portions are not the biggest one always seems to be satisfied and able to continue the day without having that feeling of needing a post meal sleep.
Happy to recommend.

A truly awful restaurant. I've been eating out in London for over six years, at least once a week and I've never been treated so badly as here.
We were initially given a table right next to the toilet, despite it being early and the restaurant being empty (it remained mostly empty throughout our visit). We were then rushed through our meal, patronised by the maitre d' and pushed out the restaurant 40 mins after arriving. They couldn't wait to use our table again even though they were less than half full and we felt thoroughly mistreated and frankly ripped off by a bill of over £80 for two courses and a bottle of unremarkable wine.
I love eating out in London and I'm happy to put up with most things. When I politley raised that we were disappointed with our experience after looking forward to eating here, it was clear that the waiter couldn't care less, she didn't even apologise -the maitre d' was strangely absent. I cannot recommend enough avoiding this awful place.
