Giraffe (Marylebone)

I went here for dinner with a friend and found it good fun. Nice staff, great atmosphere and good size portions. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but prices are very reasonable and the 241 drinks offer they do in early evenings made it a bargain!
The main course I had (chicken) wasn't to my taste, although there was nothing wrong with it. What I thought made it remarkable, was that the waitress noticed that I hadn't finished and asked why. I have been to so many places where they don't blink an eyelid if you leave your whole plate.
The manager actually came over, very nicely, and asked what I didn't like about it, as apparantly they made the sauce in house and wanted to know what could have been better. They then gave my friend and I a free drink! I thought this was a very thoughtful gesture, especially as I had said it wasn't bad, just not to my liking.
A restaurant that cares that much what its customers think will keep them coming back - I'll have no qualms about returning.

We went there as a group of 6 on the 10th of November. Very jolly atmosphere, great stylish decor, and clean. The food was very good for the prices, and the waitress and waiter were both attentive, and unlike some restaurants, spoke fluent english.
The bill was difficult to understand as discounts for a 2 for 1 drinks promotion was represented in an ambiguous manner. For that reason, I would not re visit.

Came here for lunch today having been once or twice before and only ever tried the meze plate. This time my grilled tuna nicoise salad was perfect - the hugest hunk of tasty fish and a lovely mixed salad, generous on the green beans and olives as well as on the lettuce, and I love that the dressing was brought separately.
Service was as friendly and efficient as ever and the atmosphere on a Monday lunchtime was cheery and buzzy - I'll be back!

Came here with my friend yesterday and tried their Giraffe menu of a starter plus main course for £8.75 from 7pm to 11pm. The starter was huge, my friend orders Salt and Lime Chicken Wings and was served 8 wings/drumsticks while I had Hummus and Naan bread. Our mains my friend had soy ginger salmon on wasbi mash and I had the angus burger and fries. All in all the food was okay but nothing major to shout about. I dont think it is a gourmet restaurant, more of a modern diner instead. Portions size was very generous, surroundings okay but food not all that.

I really liked this place. The staff were friendly and genuine and the atmosphere was relaxed and informal. It isn't gastro heaven but sometimes a really good burger hits the spot. I would definitely go here again.
