quiet but cute small place. went on a friday night and was surprised to find it was half empty but once we ordered the food we knew we had made the right decision.

i ordered the sweet and sour thai soup which was excellent. i also had a prawn curry for the main course which was also very nice. we were served by a very friendly and polite waiter who was possibly the owner as well.

a great authentic thai experience at reasonable prices.

I have had many green curries around London in many different places, but this is by far the best one out there!

I have already been 5 times to eat at this place in the last 2 months and have recommend it to many of my friends and colleagues who have happily gone and had an amazing experience and food.

This is a rare example of how a great restaurant should be. The owner is lovely, service great and the food is immaculate in all aspects.

The price is also very good!

The food here was great. We had the floating market starter - the tempura was nice and light and the sauce was lovely. We also had the fishcakes which took me right back to my days in Thailand as they tasted exactly the same as I had remembered them. Real authetic Thai fishcakes. No breadcrumbs! For mains we shared the Pad Thai and Pad Gra Praw. The Pad Thai was really tasty and not all greasy and the Pad Gra Praw was just the right level of spicy (milder than I had in Thailand but still had a kick to it). The meat was not dry and the flavours were just wonderful overall. The place had a lovely warm atmosphere, the food was served fast and hot and the prices were very reasonable. The best thing about the place was the owner. He was extremely personable and we had a lovely long chat with him. He really made the experience for us.

Next time I am in London I will definitely be dropping by again. The food here is much better (and cheaper) than all those places on the high street.

On my birthday last week I had the good fortune to choose Thai Dream in New North Rd. London WC1. Quite simply one of the best Thai meals I have eaten. If you are looking for really authentic Thai food be sure to get yourself down there. The restaurant has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the service is excellent, not to mention a very reasonably priced menu.*****

I finally dropped into Thai Dream for a meal a couple of nights ago and was more than pleasantly surprised. The food is really fantastic and the restaurant staff friendly and relaxed. Having lived in the area for sometime its so nice to make a new and exciting discovery.

Dined here recently with 3 friends and was delighted. Lovely food, excellent service. And it's a proper restautant (eg tablecloths and napkins) rather than cafe style. Will definitely go back as soon as possible and would recommend.

Do reviews really matter? Possibly. In reading the reviews for the different restaurants I've been to in London, it's apparent that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and varies wildly. Some are full of praise. Some less so, others not at all. Maybe some just catch a bad night, or are harder to please and look for the faults instead of the good things. Hopefully I count myself in the good things area. Only the second time here, but again a quiet and beautiful experience. Nippon remembered our last visit from several months ago (and even what table we sat at), with food once more rich, hot (temp and spice, though spice good balance and flavour) and pleasureable. Curries in bowls with candles underneath to keep them hot. I like my food hot, not luke warm. Lovely. Green curry v. good (if this is good when trying a new place, the rest is likely to be), veg cooked well and still crispy. Good house white for a tenner again. Having lived in Thailand for a few years, finding good Thai food in London seemed to be a bit hit and miss afterwards, but this one is definitely a hit. A wee gem.....

Visited for 1st time on a Friday night - we had reserved for 4 people but there was no need because the place was almost empty. The meal was good, with friendly & prompt service, and reasonably priced. Unlike many Thai eateries, which are more like cafeterias, this has a proper restaurant feel. We'll definitely be going back.

I can't understand the other reviews here!! When I went with my wife the food was not good. In the middle of taking our order he just excused himself to talk with some other customers! Very rude!

I had red curry, my wife had a green curry with a coconut rice to share. Both curries just tasted of cream when we asked for them to be spicy. The rice was also overcooked and almost like rice pudding.

In fact my wife had gone on a previous occasion and had a lunchtime pad thai which she said wasn’t very good, but had read lots of reviews that the curry is nice. So we went back and felt disappointed and it wasn't cheap!!

I really wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Visit: 26 Sept. We arrived at 6, expecting to eat in an empty place, which is somehow not comforting. However, it soon filled with quiet, intelligent-looking people and we could see why. The owner is laid back, welcoming and quietly humorous -- he even came out of the restaurant when we left to point us in a good direction for a taxi. The food was so fresh and perfectly prepared. The mixed Thai starter included the best sesame and prawn toasties I've tasted, as well as deliciously light dim sum etc. Scallops and prawns in wine were delicious as was our sizzling beef dish. The Thai music was a joy. Will go again, eagerly, and introduce others.
