La Porchetta

We went there for dinner last night at around 9.30 pm, the restaurant was busy, but not too busy since we had a table straight away.

The food was very nice and arrived quickly, but the service was very bad.

The manager clearly failed to manage the staff properly and seemed grumpy and annoyed all night.

Be served with a smile would be much better!

Pizza was great !

I visited the restaurant this week for a meal out with my daughter, on a friend's recommendation. I must admit I was apprehensive that it might be too noisy for conversation, based on earlier reviews, but we didn't find this to be the case at all. Yes, they had the music playing, but we could still hear ourselves speak, and the snug proximity of the tables made it a great experience. The portions *are* very generous and both our meals were delicious. The staff were very attentive too. I would certainly go there again.

being Italian I can tell you that this is ITalian restaurabnt... Food is Italian as it was made in Italy.. all other pales they have "italian" in name only...

great prices and excellent food.. if i feel like eat pizza - i don't go anywhere else...

The portions are massive but don't be thinking they're sacrificing quality for quantity. Substantial, yummy and inexpensive. If it says it's got garlic, it's got ALOT, if you want it spicy, spicy it is.

My boyfriend and I usually share 2 mains...pizza and pasta...the best of both worlds!

My only small criticism would be that it's rather brightly lit in this branch (Chalk Farm is darker but louder!) and the tables seem to be so close and not big enough for the massive plates already mentioned.

Went here for a quick bite to eat with friends. We had lost track of time and hadn;t realised how late it was. Only when we came to order did they tell us we could not order starters and we could only stay there for 20 minutes!

Food is good value. I've had better pizzas but also had a lot worse.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in London - its got such a great atmosphere, warm, cosy, loud and very Italian! The food and service are consistently fantastic and great value. Delicious sauces, massive pizzas and diverse pastas, meats and risotto.

Always hesitent to eat Italian out, as it will never be as good as mamma's or nonna's, but always love coming here.

Let the waiters know its your (or a friends) birthday, and they'll bang saucepans and cover you're head in pizza dough. Whats not to love!

Yeah,good pizzas (massive)but the loud thumping music is a considerable drawback.not for the faint hearted.
