Steer clear! Over priced, terrible food. I think the reason so many tourists go in here is because the menus are translated into so many languages that people who don't speak english feel more comfortable knowing what they are ordering. I'm sure it could be 'done' by Trading Standards - as mentioned previously the Heinz Ketchup is definitely not genuine neither is the Fanta nor Coca Cola.

Utter rubbish. Dreadful food, even worse prices, totally lame service. Be sure to avoid it - so bad I'm surprised it's legal.

I went to this restaurant with my friends because we wanted to eat close to the British Museum. Food was quite bad, the jacket potato with chilli con carne looked like it had just been taken out of the freezer. The burger was very small. The Heinz ketchup pots were refilled with something that wasn't Heinz ketchup. The spagheti bolognese was just about ok. The restaurant is quite small and there is not much space for customers and staff to walk to the tables and it doesn't look especially clean either. The 10% service is compulsory. At least they forgot to charge us for the drinks, so we made up for the service charge.

I would not go back to this place and would not recommend it either.

This is a hole-in-the-wall diner-type place, and just fine, in spite of all the reviews. We got the fixed price meals, (a large salad, appetizer, fish and chips for both of us, a beer, and dessert) for a reasonable price. Service was lacking, but they were busy, and it was a quaint experience, with local food (great desserts, mass produced as they might be!), in a great location across from the British Museum.

Wonderful food? No. GREAT atmosphere? In a hometown diner kind of way. If you're there, and looking for a broad menu, I'd go there again, easily!

I completely agree with the previously reviews I have just flicked through. Terrible food which is obviously microwaved from frozen bulk packets (the service is therefore fast, but at what cost?!), and horrendously overpriced to top it off. I also found the staff to be fairly rude and confrontational over their card machine failing to work. After trying two different cards that were known to work that very day, we had to resort to going to the nearest cash point in order to pay them. On returning the staff were still adamant (including the manager) it was the cards that were faulty and not their reader despite us succeeding in getting cash from a cashpoint with no problems, even going so far as to ask us if we were stupid for debating this. Having to go to this much trouble and being insulted to pay for a meal I did not enjoy really was rubbing salt in the wounds!

In short, I certainly do NOT recommend this "restaurant"!

My daughter and I ate there a few weeks ago. ALL the food--except the fish and chips--was microwaved. And though none of it was very good, it was not awful--except for the bread and butter pudding--which looked awful and tasted even worse. The service was wonderful--we went to Munchkin's a few times for dinner, and all the waittresses were really friendly--which is why we kept going back. It was NOT for the food--which was really overpriced--as was the beer!

I do not recommend this restaurant. My daughter and I ate there on a recent visit to London. The service was terrible. We ordered two of the same sandwich, and they only brought out one of them. When I sought out the waiter to tell him that we were supposed to get another sandwich, he said that we weren't - that we only ordered one! He made no attempt to apologize for his misunderstanding or to offer to fix the second sandwich so we just asked for a second plate and shared the one. He commented that since my daughter hadn't said anything (since I placed the order for the 2 sandwiches), he assumed that she didn't want anything.

The couple next to us walked out, and the woman said "I hope you didn't order the fish and chips. It's the worst I've ever had."

With so many places to choose from, don't be misled into eating at this one.

I do not recommend this restuarant, it is an overpriced cafe, a tourist trap, with manadatory 10% service and poor food.

We sent 3 meals back out of 6 prefering to get a refund rather than try another one. The drinks were very expensive at nealy £2 for a small galss of cola

Do not eat here! I am a business owner in WC2 and we popped in here for a quick lunch, this is a tourist trap at its very worst! The menu is extensive, extensively full of bad food!

the prices are very high, 1.95 for a small glass of "coca cola" the service charge is mandatory, and we had to send 2 meals back.... you have been warned!

try the bush and fields cafe in the next road... good value and great food...
