I visited this restaurant and it had nothing to do with greek food. There were no greek people working there and all the plates were bad copies of greek plates. Of course ,I am not going to eat any more there. The name (greek taverna) is a disadvertise for greek cuisine.

This was, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst Greek restaurant I have ever visited. I've had better service from table monitors at school dinner - one waitress even stood on my foot and no apology was forthcoming. The food was poor, and the moussaka I had was cold and tasteless. We were initially told that no fries were available (at 7.30 p.m.), but then a plate arrived half way through our main course, positively swimming in grease. I wouldn't eat here again if my life depended upon it.

I wouldn't eat here again if you had a gun to my head! The service was poor and the food was even worse. Everyone around us had complaints about their food. I was served my meal about 10 minutes before the person I was with and his food was so horrible he could barely choke it down. When I tried to ask the owner where my friend's food was, he started arguing with me and then yelled down a dumbwaiter to see what was taking the other dish so long. The only reason we didn't complain is because it was almost midnight and we were exhausted from traveling all day. It was the only place open within walking distance of our hotel. Next time I will just eat crisps from the machine in the lobby!

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant Saturday night (May 28th). What a mistake we made! From the minute we entered the restaurant the diabolical service begun. We were offered a table beside the door even though the place was less than 20 percent full.

When ordering the waiter kept pressing my girlfriend for her order. We both ordered the risotto but what we were actually given was rice with tomato sauce and mushroom! We were so hungry we ate a little but couldnt eat much at all of it and asked for the bill. We were never asked was the food okay despite eating much less than half of it. Also I ordered a water and a litre bottle was dropped to our table. I was never asked how much water I wanted!

In the end for two so called risottos, rice with tomato sauce and mushroom, a litre of water and a small bottle of sprite we were charged over 26 pounds! Unquestionably it was the worst restaurant service I have ever experienced!

We went last night to the Greek restaurant across our hotel the royal national and were very pleased with our meal and the service. We ordered the Lachanosalata for starters and as a main course Mussaka and Souvlaki which was just lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant and was very surprised about previous review , however we got told that the ownership of the restaurant just changed recently and further changes interior will follow. we will be definitely back next year when we come to London again.

I have visited this restaurant last night. I am from Cyprus and the restaurant is a Greek-Cypriot restaurant. It was a disaster. We ordered meze. First the glass for the wine was dirty with lip prints on it. Secondly the amount of food is not the sufficient. In meze there should be like 20 different dishes. The pitta bread was really not fresh. It was like eating rocks! The food was not fresh either. They probably have those dishes from ages and they warmed them in microwave. The worst food I have ever eaten. And also the prices are not what they write on the menu. I totally not recommend it for anybody. Waste of money and ruins your night.

I should have read the previous reviews before I went to this restaurant! That would have saved me from terrible food and from the most unpleasant interaction with the proprietor. I've ordered a steak entree because it was strongly recommended by the waiter. It was also the most expensive item on the menu. The steak was barely eadible: very hard, probably the worst/cheapest cut possible given the texture of the meat. I should have returned it right away but then thought that if the most expensive item tastes likes this, what will I be getting from the cheaper ones? After finishing my meal, I've notified the proprietor about the quality of the steak. Instead of simply apologizing and taking this incident into account, he started arguing with me, saying that (a) the previous family loved the steak, and (b) it could not have been that bad because I've managed to finish a good fraction of it. My advice: don't go to this restaurant. Bad food, rude service.
