i have been to thai thai east last 3 year, now thai thai east has changed, restaurant is so beautiful, excellent service , i can say how good of the food, the best ever i ate thai food, i recommend thai thai east restaurant,

I can't comment for the dinner experience here, however I'm a regular diner during the lunch hour as they have a fantastic deal (£8 for starter and main). Couple this with the excellent quality of Thai food (try the green curry, it's pure yum!) and the entertainment and you have a satisfying lunch right there!

Four friends and I reserved a table for 7.30 on a weeknight through TopTable (50% off). Three of my friends had been previously and raved about the food being excellent, so we were all very keen to try it out.

We arrived a little before 7.30 and were told our table was not ready so we were directed to wait at the bar. Twenty minutes later we were still waiting, as were about four other groups, and there was no sign of a table for five coming free anywhere. We asked several people what was going on, but nobody could give a response and basically everyone just ignored us. Someone finally told us that the downstairs space was being opened and we would get a table there. However, another 15 minutes later nothing had happened and the staff were avoiding talking to us. The next step was that we were told there were not enough waiters so we couldn't sit downstairs. Finally we did get a table downstairs after waiting for 45 minutes.

We pointed out that we had been waiting a long time and been treated rudely and were wondering what compensation the restaurant was offering us. The answer was a very rude 'absolutely nothing' and this was further compounded by the fact that we were 'already getting 50% off anyway'.

We hardly agreed that the latter was any kind of factor in the matter as we would have had the 50% discount in any event, whether we waited ten minutes or 45 and the restaurant wasn't just giving it to us out of its kindness.

After this, we swiftly left the restaurant and had a very lovely curry in an understated Tandoori a few doors down. We just wish we had walked out a lot sooner!

I'm sure the food is lovely, but I have no intention of ever going back to find out!

i went to thai thai on valentines day with my wife. I waited for the table about 15 min. I can said 'the food is excellent'. service is excellent. i reccomend thai thai east

Don't go there. While the food itself is okay, any reviews which mention bad service and unfriendly staff are absolutely right. We waited over an hour for both our starters and our main dishes. All in all, it is really expensive for what it is. Also, one point to note is despite the menu saying tip can be added at your discretion our bill included this automatically. Given the awful service we had received, this was the last straw.

ok. im not that hard to please. good food and resonable service fine by me. I dont get upset if the waiter doesnt bow etc like some people that like to write reviews but this place is absolutely abysmal.

Went there on a fri eve and admittedly was very busy on arriving at about 9.

Firstly the wine we ordered. One of the glasses was filthy with lip marks and some crusty stuff on the glass. When we told the waitress she didnt apologise, took it away and took another 10mins to bring a new one.

We ordered the set menu and the food was decent enough. Standard thai really although the mains were super spicy. However in between the staff taking our finished starters away and bringing our mains they took exactly 1 hr 30mins!!! We even asked where the food was and they said ours would be the next order. 30mins later it finally arrived just as we had picked up our coats to leave.

Def wont be returning. If you want good thai food with fresh ingredients and attentive service go to Rosa's down by brick lane. Even your local Thai Square is better!

just had lunch here with 13 colleagues - a diverse group not easily satisfied or impressed. our order was taken promptly and the drinks and food delivered quickly. staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal and the consensus across our table was that the food was good. we'll definitely visit again.

Oh dear. I placed an order for a delivery and was advised it would arrive in 45 minutes. When it hadn't arrived after 1 1/4 hours I phoned the restaurant but it was continually engaged. The restaurant eventually called me to say they couldn't do the order. When I pointed out that perhaps they should not have left it 1 1/4 hours to inform me of this, they then said they could and it would be with me in 20 mins.....I've been waiting a further hour now and I'm really really hungry......

I'd recommend them only if you're on a diet!

Went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and loved it! The chicken satay started was tender, and the prawn pad thai was glorious. The service was not initially that welcoming, but improved during the cource of our meal.

Well worth visiting!!
