I went recently with a friend i had not seen for a long time hoping for a catch up over some tasty thai food and BYO wine.

We were hassled from start to finish, the waitress asked to take our order as soon as we sat down, she then came back every 2 minutes and was not in the slightest bit apologetic. The food arrived quickly followed by the bill we had not asked for - how rude is that??

If you just want to eat quickly and get out this is the right place, if you're looking for a dining experience then skip it.

canteen service with restaurant prices - used to love it but crossed it off my list.

I booked a table for a Wednesday night dinner with my other half, upon hearing friends recommendations. I must say it is probably the best local Thai restaurant available in the area. The food was amazing, me and my girlfriend decided to go back the week after to try other dishes.

I would definitely recommend the Pad Thai Noodles - Its the best I've had in London. The green chicken curry was delicious, goes well with coconut rice.

Decor in the restaurant gave me a warm feeling, its a great environment especially when its cosy. I can see myself coming back with my other friends to have my birthday dinners.

We went on a Tuesday night and were surprised and how busy it was! But we booked a table so that was no problem.

The decor isn't exactly first class, but it's charming nontheless. We were seated downstairs, which has low ceilings but has a cosy feel to it. Not for the tall, though! The food was great. We didn't wait very long at all even though it was completely full. The service was definitely above the level you would expect for this kind of restaurant! They were quick, efficient, and were very kind even though they had to go up and down stairs every 2 minutes. The menu includes all your favourite, traditional, Thai dishes, and some new and exciting ones too! The lemongrass and ginger sparkling drink is very different and quite refreshing.

It's not the cheapest place around, but the food is certainly worth the money. A very nice local place to eat after work. Make sure to book!

obviously, when me and my friends booked this restaurant on friday night, it' was very very busy. we would say that all the dishes were fantastic, such as the dim sum pork, prawn blanket and steamed fish. they were so tasty and amazing in portion. also we were all satisfied for our main course as green chicken curry, prawn kraprow, seafood drunken noodles and sizzling prawn in hot plate which were absolutely delicious thai dishes as same as taste in thailand. we would recommend, this is a great thai restaurant in south london and reasonable price. we loved it, definitely we will back again.

Oh my god... I've just been to the restaurant after reading reviews. It's amazing ! As I am a big fan of Thai food, I must say this place is one of the best authentic Thai food! I love Fish Tangy Tamarind and the massive prawn chu chee!

Me an my boyfriend has a fantastic time. He loved thier Pad Thai.

Eventhough, the night we visited they were very busy but staff was very nice and friendly.

Plus, the next door to the restaurant has little supermarket where you can shop fresh home made oriental ingredints! Amazing!

Price was very reasonable, cos you bring your own wines. This is something you won't find anywhere else.

I diffinately recommend this to everyone.

By the way, I honestly think thier potions of rice is big enough!

I love thai food and regularly go to some amazing thai restaurants with my thai friend, so have a fairly good idea of what s authentic, whats good and whats not. I read about this place and its good reviews so tired it one night with my BF. Aside from the restaurant not opening until 6.30pm and seeing the restaurant workers sat int he restaurant itself eating their dinner before they opened, I thought that its quite a late time for evening sittings.

We ordered a mixed starter, two mains, two portions of rice, one papaya salad and a bottle of water. The fish main we ordered was delicious, the best thing out of all the dishes we ordered. The waiter brought along a small bowl of rice and mentioned that it was two portions. I thought I misheard and waited for him to bring more, but I was waiting a long time as it never came. I eat sparsely from the thimble sized bowl of rice he brought for my and my BF to share. I definitely thought that he must have been mistaken as diners on the other tables had the same sized portions but they had one bowl EACH! What the hell was I being charged £5.40 for two portions of rice which was served on a bowl the size of a small teacup. I was outraged. Man, rice isnt even that expensive, so why the measly, tight fisted portions? My BF left the restaurant £55 lighter and I was a bit annoyed, this was supposed to be a cheap, tasty restaurant, but I just left feeling very ripped off and served Thai food which wasnt even authentic at all. I will NOT be coming back to this place.

I love the restaurant, the take-away and the shop (currently in the take-away due to refurbishments). The restaurant delivers hearty Thai food at its best. If you can take your spice, go for the drunken noodles with prawns or chicken - perfect with a few bottles of soothing cold beer. I would also recommend getting the mixed starter spread to share - fresh and delicious every time.

Only negative is if you are sent downstairs, it can often become very hot if busy – always book in advance if you can and ask to be upstairs.

Amaranth is a personal favourite and great value for money if you’re in Earlsfield and want Thai food!

Very tasty as always. Though I noticed the prices have gone up quite a bit in the last couple of years. The tom yum soup at £4.50 was a bit on the pricey side as it came in a very small bowl and is predominately water! The spicy specials are very good and I'd recommend the cod.
