We ate here last night on a Tuesday. The food was the best Indian I have had - good portions and not the usual greasy generic slop you get at most Indians. The prices were also very reasonable.
Reading the other comments I would advise going on a mid week night as the service we received could not be faulted (there were only 3 other tables busy).
Will definitely go back.

I was very surprised to read the dodgy reviews for this restaurant. I have been going here for a few years now and find the food and service second to none. The vegetarian selection is very good and the food is really tasty - not really oily and heavy like many indian restaurants. I have taken many friends and family for a curry here and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed it. It can by busy but I think that's all part of the charm.

Absolutely dreadful! Such a pity, because it's local to home and it's always nice to support local efforts. After 45mins waiting for any food at all, I was ready to walk out, but my friend was desperate for a curry and so we stayed. The service is so hilariously ghastly it put me in mind of Manuel from Fawlty Towers. The skewered vegetables were raw, despite this being put forward as the reason for slow service. The chicken, on the other hand, was as tough as old boots and must have been round the block several times. I would not recommend anyone to go here.
