Indigo

The food here is actually of a very high standard. Flavours deep and very little excess oil. Tandoori chicken was moist and well spiced and the chana had a wonderful hint of tamarind which is really authentic. Take away service is brilliant with well packed heat seal boxes and fresh, not the usual limp, salad. It's a shame the place is not as busy as it should be - the locals really should be supporting this little place, as good indian restaurants are such a rarity in london.

This place is a hidden treasure! The food is among the best south asian food I have tasted anywhere in London. And I am a big fan of that cuisine. But the place is hidden away in a small parade of shops in the middle of nowhere. Hence it has not been ruined by pretentiousness, being trendy etc. I am a vegetarian and I particularly appreciate the range of animal-free choices. This is very much NOT standard "Indian restaurant" fare - those places which all have identical menus. You will find dishes here you won't often find elsewhere.

I am surprised that one reviewer thought it expensive. I think it is very good value for money, because the food is so good. Anyone wanting a 'bog standard cheap-and-cheerful Tandoori" has better go to one. This is excellent for people with good and non-standard taste. If you want better than average south asian food, this is good value.

I have been going regularly since it opened and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.

I went to this restaurant with my friends including one Indian girl. The food was quite good and the service was very impressive. Even my Indian was satisfied with my curry (We asked for extra green chili). The bill for two-course meal and two bottles of wine was around 28 pounds pp. This place is much better than another Indian restaurant opposite Waterloo station!

Firstly, I would like to say that indigo has to be one of few up and coming Indian Restaurants in the South East London. Me and my family have been dinning in and having take aways ever since they opened, and to this day me and my wife have no complaints. We have had problems such as food being late. but i guess thats part and parcel of ordering food on weekends!! Me and my wife especially like the fact that you get compleletly different food when u eat in and take away, the Cuisine is'nt your average curry, what has impressed me and many of my friends over the years, is the way the chefs at indigo have evolved indian food, I have spoken to the head chef at indigo and he told me it was "fushion cooking" the restaurant is clean and very calm, i would reccomend this place to those who like me love indian food, the food in here is very reasonable in price, portions are good and as for presentation....i"ll let you judge that one! The Chef also told me that there will be a Deluxe Menu availible were the menu changes on a daily basis..me and my wife cant wait!

I'm sorry, but I do not feel that the food from this restaurant is that special. £9.95 for a Chringri curry containing a mere two king prawns is an outrageous price!

the food is mediocre but the manager and staff are so rude and unhelpful!

we ordered a take away and ome of the dishes was not delivered so when i politley phoned to inform them first of all they wouldnt believe me (i am a doctor and i aint gonna lie about £2.50 but i wanted the food we had ordered), and then refused to send another delivery!! Even though i had paid for it - and they would nt even give me a refund . The manager has no idea what customer servoce is and if this is how they behave in front of paying customers i hate to think how the food is looked after in the kitchen! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

i can say i absoultely love this restaurant i mean for one thing their restaurant provides a warm and peceful atmosphere.i must comment on their food i orderd their signature dish and i can tell u its the best indian dish i have ever tasted in a long time also i reccomend u taste their exclusive sauce i had to take away some because its that nice. i will be going there very soon.top restaurant my score 10/10

We ate here last night on a Tuesday. The food was the best Indian I have had - good portions and not the usual greasy generic slop you get at most Indians. The prices were also very reasonable.

Reading the other comments I would advise going on a mid week night as the service we received could not be faulted (there were only 3 other tables busy).

Will definitely go back.
