Was here a last year. Anyway, this is the authentic !-am. Got special pho soup for a fiver which was a meal in itself, plus fish (began with a 't'...) which was fresh and absolutely delicious. You'd have to be Michael Winner, Roy Hattersley, or a Union delegate to spend £20 here! My two dishes there came to about £12, and I didn't even have room for my customary pint of Guinness later!
Decor is functional and canteen-like- not atmospheric maybe, but you can appreciate all the hard work that's going on and smells of various things cooking. It also had a family party in of lower-class locals (and this lower-class Geordie tourist!) who were having a real beanfeast that obviously wasn't breaking the bank. It had a nice, happy atmos to it I thought.
...I'm flabbergasted that no-one else has reviewed this place!!!! Check it out!
