I haven't eaten in the restaurant (so 0 for atmosphere) but I can say that Khan's takeaways are brilliant - far above average and the best anywhere in Brixton and surrounding areas: good spicing, fresh ingredients, admirably succint and well-done menu. I've never had a bad dish from here in several years of ordering (and I don't normally bother eating in neighbourhood indian restos as they're all so samey)

Khan's is one of the best resturants in London well more as in the brixton side. The food is great and I am a regular customer at Khan's.

I disagree with the comments by KS he obviously should have gone to pizza hut as he does not have a clue about the true taste that is offered at Khans. I and my family have also enjoyed the the great food taste and the service that is second to none for years at Khans and have always and will always be recomending this place to all my friends.

Me and my girlfriend have been to khans a number of times and also ordered delivery from them quite a few times. The food is really really good definitely one of the best curry places i have eaten at in london. The staff are always very polite and friendly and you can bring your own alcohol which makes the evening very good value for money.

I find the last review very strange. We have been going to Khan's for years and I rate them as the best neighbourhood curry I've had in london. Everything is highly flavoured, beautifully cooked and crucially (for me) doesn't come swimming in a pond of clarified butter. Staff are absolutely brilliant, friendly, helpful and accomodating. And it's cheap as chips - BYO, I defy anyone to spend more than £15 a head! What more do you want?!!!

I visited Khan's on the basis of the good reviews it had recieved here and left wishing I'd gone to the Pizza Hut nearby.

The seating is cramped with my wife and I being forced to sit on table a joined to another party. The decor is reminiscent of a Bombay or Dhaka diner, which I would have appreciated had I been in those cities.

Moving on to the food itself, tasteless and extortionately over-priced. We paid £6 for a prawn dish that could have easily passed for a ready meal and another 6 quid for 5 barely marinated chicken 'tikka' pieces. The nan and drinks were the real con- amounting to £12 for 2 pieces of nan and 2 small drinks.

You live and you learn, I wouldn't have minded paying that amount or more at a decent restaurant. And next time i will be sticking to the familiarities of nearby Edgware Road.
