Garfunkel's

I completeley agree that Garfunkel's food is unforgettable, over-priced and the service is foul.
On a trip via Gatwick, my boyfriend and I chose to eat there out of the variety of other restos located in the airport... and made the wrong choice!
Even if airport food is classified as eating by numbers, we had higher expectations of Garfunkel's vs. the sandwich stands and fast food options available. Come to think of it, we should have gone with the latter.
I ordered the pancakes, which were menial, hard as a rock and cold. You would think someone would check on this prior to sending them out. So, after returning them since I wasn't paying 5 quid for two-day old food, the same 3 were returned warmed up and somewhat edible. (I also overheard others complaining about the pancakes). Then, my boyfriend who doesn't eat cheese, requested the BBQ chicken pizza with out it and it came with the most burnt, thin crust + sad chicken - and that's all, not even sauce. It was so dingy looking, I made him request some sauce to at least take the dry factor away.
We also waited a long time to actually get our bill (which wasn't cheap) and the servers were all too bothered to even care.
The ambience is the only nice bit about it, but this experience has completely put me off Garfunkel's!

This place was overpriced and a
completely forgettable dining experience.
In terms of an 'authentic' American dining experience, you should go to dublin or berlin, they do it much better there!
