This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in London. The welcome is very friendly and you can ask for anything they will do it for you. The food is delicious and the service comes with a smile. Even if you want a glass of beer and just relax there, you can! The menu is cheap compare to other restaurants. You will have a good time when you go there!

We took my Nan and family here for her 76th bday as she wanted to go to a Portuguese local to her area (she does not get out much) so I searched London Eating and found A Baia! My fiancee is Portuguese so he knows his stuff but we all enjoyed our meals and will go back. Make sure you print the map as I went around the block twice and its full of ones ways in Camden!

We prebooked for 6 on a Sunday and our table was waiting, very friendly staff and spoke good english. We had pre arranged for one of my uncles to bring a cake and have them prepare it in the back to bring out later, which was great of them to do for us.

We had for:

Starters - Soup of the day (Calde Verde) fine cabbage soup with chorizo, Flaming Chorizo, cod cakes, melon & parma ham and 1 of each of the side breads.

Mains - Various steaks, house, with egg, pepper and they were cooked exactly how we asked them to be. All mains came with chips, rice and salad so no worrying about the cost of side orders.

Drinks - A few cans of coke (better than out of a bottle), a few small bottles of juices (sumol), bottle of house red, very nice and a couple of pints of sagres beer.

Didnt get dessert as we had the cake, but had brandies, teas and expressos with it and the whole cost was £120 for 6 (£20 a head) and we left a 10% tip which I think is average for restaurants.

Very nice food and a friendly welcome. I have been there 3 times and I am going there again. It is not expensive and if you have any requests about your dish they will do it for you.

Very good atmosphere and very feeding food.

Good quality for money and warm welcome.

I recommend the chicken mushrooms and the flamed chorizo. The cakes are delicious.
