Great place for an inexpensive lunch . Lots of food well cooked and well presented , very good value for money . I had prk noodle soup and side order of spare ribs ( didn't need bot soup was filling on it's own ) and a soft drink and iit wwas well under £10 if I'd just stuck to soup and drink it would have been about £5 so you won't break the bank here , enjoyed it os go in take it for what it is and I don't think you will be dissapointed .

I love this place.
When me and my better half visit London we always go here at least once during our stay. We normally come down to the captial once or twice a year and stay around Kings Cross as its easy to get anywhere from there.
Chop Chop is our usual eatery before the grind of taking on the city. Value for money is fantastic and the food is excellent. My wife is Chinese and she loves it as well. I dont think the customer service is as bad as people are making out. It is a fast food resturant (but without all the crappy junk food!) so they are trying get tables turned over quick. Its not a £200 per head michelin starred resturant where you have 17 courses and can take 3 hours to eat your meal!
I highly recommend Chop Chop if you want fast and delicious rice and noodle dishes that fill you up for next to nothing!

I live local, and this restaurant never lets me down. The food is great value, and very fresh, All the vegetables are crunchy and it is like home cooking. There is a lot less food colouring/artifical flavourings compared to other oriental eateries.
It is perfect for students. The portions are huge!
Whenever it's 5-8 I would say book a table if there are lots of you, they always have reservation signs up.
Service is standard, but, I don't know why anyone would complain eating there.
It is amazing value and tasty!

I actually disagree with those reviews stating that the food is bland. From the perspective of a reasonably poor student, this place makes a welcome change from homemade pasta.
In particular, the roast pork chow mein is to die for, I've had it about 5 times and I always finish in about 5 minutes flat.
Although the service isn't exactly amazing, it's not bad, and it's certainly better than other experiences that I have had from more expensive restaurants.
For £5 you can get a really delicious and filling meal for a quick lunch fix either eating in or taking away.
Being situated right across the road from Kings Cross station, you might expect it to be busy, but I suppose that being sandwiched between 2 McDonald's restaurants, and being so small that you could blink and miss it, it's always been relatively quiet in there.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Chop Chop - I don't live in London but every time I visit, I make sure to try and squeeze in a trip for some cheap and yummy noodles.

Its a fast food chinese restaurant. What do people expect? The food is good and the servings are large. I've been there many times, and will be going back many times again. You can't expect 5 star service.. I'd rather pay less for good food and what I consider ok service, than pay more for good food and a s&%t chat...

I'm sorry, but how can anyone complain?? You're in *central* London, next to the busiest railway station in Europe and you're being well fed for £3. If you want exquisite cuisine and excellent service, go to Hakkasan and pay £100 for the pleasure. Be realistic people. Best value for money.. avoid the starters and try the roast duck. The rice is better than the noodles - although both are pretty bland, you might want to make use of the soy sauce on the table.
