I actually disagree with those reviews stating that the food is bland. From the perspective of a reasonably poor student, this place makes a welcome change from homemade pasta.

In particular, the roast pork chow mein is to die for, I've had it about 5 times and I always finish in about 5 minutes flat.

Although the service isn't exactly amazing, it's not bad, and it's certainly better than other experiences that I have had from more expensive restaurants.

For £5 you can get a really delicious and filling meal for a quick lunch fix either eating in or taking away.

Being situated right across the road from Kings Cross station, you might expect it to be busy, but I suppose that being sandwiched between 2 McDonald's restaurants, and being so small that you could blink and miss it, it's always been relatively quiet in there.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Chop Chop - I don't live in London but every time I visit, I make sure to try and squeeze in a trip for some cheap and yummy noodles.

Its a fast food chinese restaurant. What do people expect? The food is good and the servings are large. I've been there many times, and will be going back many times again. You can't expect 5 star service.. I'd rather pay less for good food and what I consider ok service, than pay more for good food and a s&%t chat...

I'm sorry, but how can anyone complain?? You're in *central* London, next to the busiest railway station in Europe and you're being well fed for £3. If you want exquisite cuisine and excellent service, go to Hakkasan and pay £100 for the pleasure. Be realistic people. Best value for money.. avoid the starters and try the roast duck. The rice is better than the noodles - although both are pretty bland, you might want to make use of the soy sauce on the table.

Most of the staff here have never heard of the words 'customer service' or 'treat the customer nicely'. I have been about 4 times and the last time was the final visit for me. The waiter was as rude as I have ever seen - he didn't even speak to me during the ordering process or when I paid. Will never be going back.

(By the way, the food is reasonable for the prices you are paying, but this is an afterthought).

After living for many years in the orient, it makes a nice change to find an oriental restaurant serving authentic food. Their Malaysian noodles are worth trying - nice and spicy.

Don't order too many dishes to start with, as their portions are larger than you would expect for a London restaurant, and cheaper.

It’s now my “local” when working in London.

I never had a horrible experience in my whole life. When to this restaurant for dinner with my husband and 2 yr old daughter. To start with they r not at all child friendly,no highchair.Dinner was served which was tasteless and then my daughter was taking a bit longer to finish her dinner.Well you dont expect a 2 yr old to finish as quickly as an adult. One of the waiters came and asked to remove the pushchair and didnt know where to keep it and much to my surprise asked to to vacate the table.I was so furious and told me that my daughter hadnt finished her meal, and much to my surprise he says well I can pack that as a takeaway for you.I was astonished the way he spoke to me.I know the restaurant was getting busy as it was saturday nite and we were three occuping a table of four but thats not the way you treat your customer.NEVER GO THERE IF YOU HAVE A SMALL CHILD WITH YOU!
