I have been to this restaurant on 4 occasions over the past 6 months and it is an absolute gem. I have been disappointed on two other occasions not to have got in as it was packed to the rafters. The food is delicious, slightly different to your bog-standard curry house fayre and the price is very reasonable. Coupled with friendly and efficient service from the personable staff who are (shock horror) real people who understand what it takes to run a restaurant and keep customers happy this is a fantastic place for a spicy meal with friends. Decent wine list and good range of digestifs to help the naan bread go down, I'll be there again as soon as

possible.

I live in New York City and try to visit a friend in London at least once a year. First stop: The Great Nepalese. Absolutely delicious and such kind and friendly people. I have to admit I have OCD about one dish. It is so good, especially for dunking nan, that I can't break away from it: Butter Chicken. It's probably too rich, but two or three times a year, albeit all in a couple of weeks, i'm very willing to sacrifice all for my taste buds. But who knows, maybe it's not too rich after all. Probably not, eh?

This is a real gem around Euston. I've been going there for years, and even though I've tried other restaurants in the area, I always seem to go back there. The management are real Nepalese people, very nice, warm and friendly. I've never had a bad experience in all the years I have been there.

The food is great - spicy, without the heat. Full of flavour. Shame I can't eat everything as the range of choice on the menu is good.

It's the place I bring all my friends from afar to experience a different kind of curry.

I'm not normally one to send reviews to sites like this (one man's meat etc etc) but since I was almost put off going by the previous review I thought I should redress the balance a little.

Myself, the wife and two friends went last night and had a very tasty meal, while the service was friendly and as efficient as you'd ever need it to be.

I had a Lamb Kathmandu dish from the small Specials menu which was excellent, while all four of us cleaned our plates pretty much.

It's not gourmet delicacies, to be sure, you'd have to go somewhere posher and more expensive for that, but for £20 a head including drinks I thought it was perfectly OK.

One for your shortlist if you want to try a few different flavours of the sub-continent...

We visited this restaurant for the first time on Monday 17th July 2006. There were eight of us; we all chose Nepalese dishes for starter and main course. The food was excellent, the service was pleasant and attentive and the price reasonable.

We would recommend this restaurant to those who enjoy Nepalese food.

I made reservation for my first visit with a family party of 8 on Monday 17 July. 7 of the 8 had experience of visiting or living in the Far East, and 5 had trekked in Nepal. We had read the differing previous reviews. We were greeted cordially. The Restaurant was efficient, clean, fresh and busy. We each chose a widely differing selection of Nepalese food. Each dish appeared freshly prepared, and portions were satisfactory. Advice was readily available if sought and there was an abundance of staff who were pleasant. This is a specialist restaurant. I have no hesitation on this experience of recommending this restaurant for its Nepalese food, noting that this does differ subtly from Indian food. I will return.

This was my local curry house until recently. I had visited this resturant frequently over the years and the standard of food was excellent. However, I am aware that the chef has changed and so ordering a Madras is like eating a bowl of incredibly hot chillies. Service is dreadful, with sarcastic comments and general bad manners from staff. Compared to other curry houses in the area, this establishment DOES NOT offer value for money, charging approximately £2.00 more for any type of curry than that of a similar resturant 1/2 a mile up the road. AVOID this place. If you are in the Camden area and you want a friendly, hospitable curry house that serves good food and IS value for money, then visit the Bharat which is a short distance away on Camden High Street.
