The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming and the food is fantastic, hence the reason why the place is full of repeat customers. You won't find an all round better Cypriot restaurant in London

I went with my husband on a romantic outing and we end up in Karavas. I have to say that the atmosphere was fantastic and the food was delicious. This restaurant is the best Greek restaurant in the area. I am planing to have my birthday party here. Well done Karavas

Visited Karavas 27th Nov 2010 on a bitterly cold Saturday night. The atmoshere inside was electric, a real buz. Service was good as was the food, the bill was what you would expect to pay in the area.

Overall a great night out with a good mix of age groups, which added to the night.

We are due to vist again with my son and his girlfriend with Wednesday.

I am really impressed by the overall ranking of this restaurant and I can say with confidence that it is now that good.

1.The Chicken & Lamb Souvla was very salty and really tough it seem that they had the Souvla from the day before. This is something they do in Greece especially in non-quality restaurants. The salad had a Feta cheese that was really terrible a complete dissapointment. The Seftalia dish was horrible no tast at all.

2.The atmosphere wasn't appropriate for a restaurant. It was really dark and you could bearly see what you were eating. The decoration was really old-fashioned, something like Greek 60' as well as the music. The door of the bathroom was sticky as if they did't clean it for years.

3. There was a guy, a friend of the restaurant staff that was talking and arguing with all the time. Really annoying and inappropriate for such a place.

>And something good, the waiter was polite and helpfull.

As a Greek I really suggest you go to an other retstaurant. Believe me.

My father used to take me and my sister out every few weeks. One of the most memorable places he took us was to this place when I was 10 years. He said he used to take mum there for dates.

The first thing i remembered was the atmosphere. It was very calm and the candle was gently waving around and you could see the slight shadows of things on the table. There were people around you dressed very nicely, going on about their conversations about work and laughing at jokes I didn't understand.

And then I reembered the waiter, not his face but I remember how funny he was and how kind he was. He's friendly and welcoming.

But the most memorable thing was the food. I remember biting into the chunk of juicy lamb that came off the bone and nicking all the calamari from my sister. I remembered the taste and how wonderful the food is.

It's been 10 years since and as a birthday meal recently, I was taken to this restaurant and nothing has changed from memory.

Gorgious food, lovely atmostphere (this time overhearing jokes and understanding them) and above all, excellent service.

This is one of my favourite restaurant and most certainly, the most memorable one.

Very nice restaurant. Just the right level of service. Attentive relaxed feel, just like a Cypriot restaurant should be.

Music was authentic and of the right volume to be able to pay attention to the conversation. Its a shame it was so empy. More people came but from 7pm to 8.30 on a Friday night we were the only people there! Some others came later on.

The food was loveley and more than substantial. If I wasn't on a special date I would have been well tempted to ask for a doggy bag - which is expected in this restaurant. Even the house wine was decent. Price was very reasonable - I have paid a good deal more and still considered it good value.

It needs more customers to give it an extra buzz.

I thoroughly recommend it and would probably go again.

Suppose to go to another local restaurant but could not get a table and pleased we didint as we ended up at Karavas which was a fantastic meal....had a mixture from the menu and the six of us enjoyed every dish! The owner was very friendly and attentive and the waitress did a nice job. We enjoyed the reccomended wine and ala in all a good night. The only wee thing Id say is the place need to be lightened up a bit as in paint job to make it a bit brighter inside and to play some traditional music . My friends and I all said we will be back for a meal within the month as we enjoyed the food so much!
