Food was above average, unfortunately service was terrible though. It was quiet and yet we couldn't get the waiters to our table and when one did arrive, he was uninterested and made us feel like we were wasting his time. Will not be returning.

Maharani- what can i say about it, they are fantastic. i have been around lots of different types of indian places but maharani is by far the best restuarent i have ever been. the food is excellent, their tandoori is by far the best in london in my view. i have recomended Maharani to all of my friends and colliegues. the staff are nice and friendly and have a great passion about food and providing great customer service.
great stuff Maharani Camden keep up the good work.

Christmas office dinner ruined by the Maharani.....
What a joke..... would you wait an hour for starters??? Every time we tried to get soemones attention it was "two minutes" which inadvertantly turned out to be 20 minutes....... the only thing that arrived on time was the 'papad' and the drinks...
Starters arrive, and theyre cold! Had to request water several times and got it half an hour later.... the vodka and orange had no vodka in it....
We paid for the starters and drinks and walked out as mains were brought out... Honestly!!! If you cant cope with so many people, dont advertise!!!!
There was a second office there and they too had a hard time, they had preordered their dinner 3 months in advance when they booked their table... one would expect food to be ready, they waited an hour too for starters, and part of the group walked out...
I wouldnt recomment this restaurant to ANYONE... RUBBISH

I took my team to the Maharani for our Christmas night out - sadly as we waited over an hour for our starters, we had to leave two hours after arriving without our main course. The food we did eat wasn't bad and it was a shame we didn't get to try the main as we were looking forward to it, but it was an unacceptable length of time to wait without any communication about delays.
I can understand they were busy, but they made no attempt to keep us up to date, and everytime I asked for anything I waseither told "Two minutes" and twenty minutes later would have to repeat the request, or ingnored completely.
The manager did try to make amends, however, it was too little, too late, and we left.

This place is really not good. The food tasted awful and as a chain restaurant I would surmise it is pre-packed food, that how it was presented and how it tasted. This might explain why any requests to add ingredients to the dishes was refused.
In London you don't need to compromise, very poor - avoid.

I am amazed at the last review as we are new to the area and went to Maharani the other night and had exactly the opposite time...great food, good service and all in all a very good night! We had a selection of dishes and beer and wine and found price fine. We will definitely be back.
