Service was quite poor and the management were not very helpful. We ordered the Nihari dish, which turned up with two small pieces of meat (for £8!). When we complained, we were fobbed off by the manager, who told us to order another dish if we needed more food...he then proceeded to sit back at his table and chat loudly with the rest of his waiters. Useless...
The food was ok. Nothing special. A bit over-zealous on the spices - left feeling quite bloated even though we didn't eat all that much. Quite pricey too - looking at min. £15 a head for a basic meal.

Three of us went on a Thursday night arriving at 10pm .we were told it was last orders and the place was full, within five minutes we had a table - ordered grilled kebabs and a choice of Meat and Veg dishes, all arrived at the same time but who cares, food was all tasty and piping hot ,the kebabs were very tasty indeed with a hint of lighter spices like cinnamon and cloves, the curries were a wee bit oily but its the oil that is infused with the taste, just don't spill it on your clothes! They are also on the hot side of medium so if you don't like it hot then have a word when you order.Rice was OK nothing special but the Naan breads were great.
In all it was £35 for a blow out inc service and doggy bags to take home.
Service may be brusque but its not a place to linger over a glass of wine.....
Great Pakistani food in central London.

I've been visiting Raavi Kebab for a long time now I can always count on excellent food . The grilled food was excellent and the prices were very affordable. I definately recommend visiting, the chiken tikkas and kebabs were excellent. The decor and staff were not great but for the price your paying they are pretty good. The traditional indian food is perfect the best outside of Asia.

visited yesterday with 2 colleagues. kebas were ok but the rest of the food was dire, avoid this place, the specials which was chikken masala was watered down, no consistency, nihari was made yesterday .. why because it arrived within 5 minutes of ordering it, there was a thick skin formed on the sauce of it. told the owner the food was poor but he was in denial, no customer service, the place is rundown.

Me and my family have been going to Raavi Kebab for years. We love the food, from the long seikh kebabs to the lamb nihari and the succulent and beautifully orange coloured flame cooked Chicken Tikkas.
This really and truly is a place you must eat at at least once and like so many, myself and family included, once you have been once, you will always return for the quality of food for what you pay is well worth it.
I love it as do my friends and family. I am sure you will too. So best to make your way over there at your earliest opportunity.

People come to Raavi for the food - it's the best Pakistani food in London and I've been coming here for more than ten years. Their NIhari is second to none; they do great Haleem; and all the items from the grill are perfectly cooked and come with a great sour coriander and chilli chutney. There is nowhere better for Pakistani grilled food, including Southall, Wembley and South London as far as I know. Everything on the menu is good but the specials are indeed worth a couple of extra pounds. The non-specials tend to be little greasy but that's quite authentic. The biryani is not authentic though (i.e. it is pilau rice and curry fried together rather than slow cooked). The naans and rotis are very good; much better than the rice. You can eat a huge meal here for about £12 per head. The restaurant itself however is very basic and you would not think you were going to get anything nice from looking at it alone. It's a small, slightly claustrophobic room with awful lighting and decor. They had refurb recently and hasn't helped much. It can also get quite hot in there. However in my view it all adds to the sense that you've discovered something really special. It's usually full of Sub-continetals in the know and university types from the neighbouring uni area. It gets very busy and they don't take reservations so you often have to wait (but it's worth it). The service is quick but can be patchy and staff have occassionally seemed rude but it's nothing that would dissuade me from coming. An absolute must for anyone who loves Pakistani food and see past the surroundings.
