606 Club

We visit the Club when we visit London and have always loved it, the steak is excellent as is the atmosphere!

Quite simply the best place in London to hear real jazz in an unpretentious setting. The food is imaginative, reasonably priced, and delicious. Almost a "family" atmosphere thanks to the owner, a respected musician in his own right, hence the music programme never falls into the same tired routine rosta of the same artists year in year out like other clubs.

Visited this club a few times over the last three years. Atmosphere always excellent, food always good, sometimes very! and service good. Music always a matter of taste, but I have seen some of the best for in effect next to nothing!!

We came from North Yorkshire to see a Soul Gem called Ola Onabule @ the 606 club. A great British artist, yet to be fully discovered. Had a night which we will never forget!

Steve, the Manager, made everybody feel at home. Our one criticism, was that the 606 club isn't in North Yorks - as we would be there every weekend!

A big thanks to the 606 team & can't wait to return one day.

Highly recommended!!

What a great place. You need to go to experience it. You are welcomed and made to feel special. The place has such an atmosphere that you have to see for yourself. The food is superb and the bands (Ola expecially) are great. The seats are all around the stage so you get a great view and the table is yours for the night. What more can you want. Anyone complaining about paying for the band should consider the fact that it costs £20-£30 + to go and see some concerts these days. Worth every penny I say.

This is a great find which I was introduced to a few years ago.

Have been many times and have always had a great night with fantastic Jazz, great food and the staff are always really welcoming.

Makes a change to find a Jazz club which sticks to its authentic roots.

I have been to the 606 Club three times now, and each time it has been a great experience. Whilst not a fan of all jazz, the programme is very varied (with a weekly newsletter with upcoming acts) and each time the act has been superb.

The food is very good, albeit fairly expensive, and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is a legal requirement of the club for non-members to have to eat at the club, so it isn't possible to have just a drink.

While there is 'music charge' of £7-9, for 3-4hrs of some of the best Jazz musicians around, I think this is a small price to pay.

I would, however, encourage the club to introduce cushions on their chairs/replace them, as after 3-4hrs it can get pretty uncomfortable and it's a shame to detract from great Jazz.

Overall, a great place that not that many people seem to know about, and well worth a visit.

My partner introduced me to the 606 on one of our first dates, we had a fantastic and very enjoyable romantic evening and the venue has remained a favorite of mine. It is a wonderfully unique experience and I would recommend any jazz lovers to attend. The menu is superb and the food delicious. Although expensive, you get what you pay for and I have never been disappointed.

This is a lovely place, they are always friendly, and the food is pretty good. It has a realyl nice atmosphere and I have met some lovely people there.

Quite splendid club. Music is always excellent, good food and friendly staff.

If you're a member you can just use the bar otherwise you need to have a meal but that's no hardship.

It can be busy but that's the price you pay for being popular, I guess.
