Had dinner at this place for the first time in a while the foods is still very good and the service attentive, but what a moody Polish managers stomping around talking at 100 mph so you can hardly understand a word she said. Thank goodness she got the message and sent a waitress over to continue serving us.
Other than that we had a great girly night out highly recommended to those who do not want to be pestered by men trying to chat them up whilst having a night out. The music was well good and mix it up some more Blushes we will be back soon. Its not cheap as chips but its Chelsea.

With a prime location on Kings Road with indoor/outdoor seating, Blushes has a laid back, relaxing atmosphere that makes it ideal for a peaceful meal away from the hustle and bustle of London. It is an ideal place to go for a quick lunch during the afternoon or for a late night dessert and coffee/tea.
Despite these high points of the restaurant, the food is a bit of a different story. While it isn't outright bad, it isn't exactly above par. After my Dad went there and told me how good their burger was, I went to go try it and was unimpressed. As a tourist from America, where burgers are juicy and full of numerous toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles) and condiments, I did not like the fact that the burger was well done and had minimal toppings. Yet, since my Dad likes Blushes, I found myself there again. This time, I had the spaghetti carbonara, which was not bad, but I have had better spaghetti carbonara before. Unforunately, the pancetta was a bit overcooked and the cream sauce could have a little tastier. Overall, Blushes' food is mediocre at best.
With regards to service, the results are mixed. Most of the staff consisted of immigrants who seemed to make a genuine attempt to provide good service considering that they are in the process of learning English. Once in a while, they would make a small mistake or perhaps forget something, but for the most part, the service was pretty good and worthy of a good tip.
Like others have mentioned, the quality of the food does not live up to the price. A lot of restaurants in London, from an American point of view, seem to be quite overpriced; Blushes is not any different. The burger cost roughly 11 to 12 pounds, whereas I could get a tasty one in America for 4 to 5 pounds. If you are looking for a relatively low priced meal, then Blushes is not the place for you.

Blushes has a great position on the King's Road, and with some outside tables, could really be quite a decent place to go.
Sadly, the menu hasn't been changed in years and looks quite tired. It's also very overpriced for what it is (despite the location). Lunch yesterday came to over £30 for two, but that was only a main course each, together with a soft drink.
Once you add in the "optional" 12.5% service charge, that's £35. Quite frankly, that's shocking. The service was also pretty poor - a remarkably surly waitress who was paying little attention to what was going on.
I shan't be going back until it looks like it's had a bit of a shake-up. My companion described it as a prime candidate for a visit from Gordon Ramsay and I'm afraid that's right.

I went to this place yesterday. Firstly the service was very slow and the waitress clomped heavily up and down the wooden floor past my table with heavy steps and heels on which was really irritating.
I orderered a prawn salad for £12.99... which was very expensive for a pile of lettuce with a few prawns on. The drink was bland. My son had chicken wings which were hard. Very overpriced.
I object to paying a compulsory 12.5% for such mediocre service. The best places have optional service for a reason!
4 of us ate in the Spaghetti house the day before with dessert and more than we ate there. for the same price as two of us in Blushes. Never again. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a reveiw.. that was how unimpressed I was.

I've just come back after a dinner with a friend. We've had a great time there. The food was excellent (I had the best salad called "Big boss" ever - highly recomended). Definitely going again!

I went to Blushes for Sunday lunch and will never go again.
Firstly, the staff are offhand and pay no attention. My companion asked for ice in her drink and duly got none. Secondly, nobody came to take our food order until we attracted the staff's attention. Then we were served by a man who looked like the manager.
He took our order, two club sandwiches and the salmon fillet. 'Not a club sandiwch?' he asked, sarcastically, which I found both rude and inappropriate.
When our food arrived, we got three club sandwiches! So the manager type person was rude AND ignorant, and his funny comment when he had taken our order had clearly distracted him from accuracy! The 'skinny' chips that accompanied our food were crispy and burnt to the point of being inedible.
The manager brought us a round of drinks as an apology (big deal, we were drinking fruit juice) which was appreciated, but at the end of the meal we were surprised that 12.5% had still been added for service that was frankly abominable.
Overall a very disappointing experience, with laughable service and only acceptable food.

myself, my partner and a colleague went to blushes for dinner on a quiet wednesday night and were extremely dissapointed with the food and service approach.
we just ordered plain burgers with a pepper sauce that arrived split and lumpy and was told that happened due to the fact we had asked for no peppercorns, which is complete rubbish as i myself am a chef and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that peppercorns are a binding agent!
so my partners burgwer was sent back covered with a lumpy flavourless goo and a new burger with the proper accompanient was delivered, 15 minutes later, which she then had to eat by herself as our "thin chips" (aka mcdonalds chips)had started to go soggy after about 5mins of waiting.
then onto desserts the first thing that we all saw and perhaps thought that could save our meal experience was the chocoalte fondant. you can never go wrong with a good ol oozing chocolatey centered fondant and perhps some vanilla ice cream to put a subtle finish on the rich flavours. that was all a pipedream with this desert, it showed up on a starter side plate with a mint "tree" size sprig , no ice cream, a tiny amount of sauce, no chocolate centre just a piece of dry foam like sponge that could have easily been bought at tescos that afternoon and microwaved to order.
throughout the evening we were not looked after by the staff, instead the manager argued the split sauce was our fault due to the fact we did not want peppercorns in it and were handed a massive bill at the end of an unpleasant night.
no "thankyou for coming" no "did you enjoy your meal?" no nothing, no satisfaction so on the way home it seemed the only right thing to do was pop into mcdonalds and get some hot and crispy "thin" chips.
